I felt the author did a very good job presenting his facts, data, and conclusions to support his premise that many of the books of the Bible are written by people who in one way or another are not who you think they are. I am not a Bible scholar, but found his review to be rigorous and convincing. The book could have been a little tighter and it took a while to get into the meat of the material, but all in all, this book delivered what it promised in the title.

I think I still judge a book by its cover, even if I order it online. I swear I bought this book because the cover was so pretty and the inside didn't live up to it. This man repeated words and phrases more than Dean Koontz; it was as if he had a two chapter idea he wanted to stretch into a full book. Shame on you, Mr. Ehrman. It was so bad, I actually got road rage from my audiobook.
Thinker. Runner. Attorney. Follow your dreams kinda guy.
The author should have gave us a chapter about how his research relates to the world and what his personal view are.
Anybody. Nothing personal, but not my taste in a narrator. Sounded like a computer, emphasized the wrong words, ect. Aweful. Had to turn it to 1.5 speed just to get through it.
I have read/listened to other Bart Ehrman books and enjoyed which is why I ordered this.
No, just Bart Ehrman
Not really. It was very, very repetitious.
Excellent book! Like his other books, this one is just as informative and enlightening --it's kind of like brain food! Definitely a must-have to your audiobook library.

Ehrman nailed it with this one. For those who mistakenly assume the Bible is the "Word of God" this will be a hard slap in the cheeks. For those who have the courage to think for themselves and examine other people's assumptions, this is a wonderful book. From my perspective, this is Ehrman's best...but I'm a fan. If you thought the Bible was super natural in origin, I dare you to read this.

This book was good but it didn't wow me as I thought it would have. I was expecting more, much more out of this.
Interesting subject matter, but not my cup of tea. I do not have a strong enough background in Biblical teachings to absorb all of the information in this book.
