I think Tina is fantastic! She is incredibly smart and well spoken. The fact that this book is also funny and insightful makes it a great listen for car trips. (Yes, I have listened to it multiple times on multiple trips because it keeps me awake and happy and unaware of my legs burning from the sun and the traffic jam I have been sitting in for 45 minutes.)
TINA FEY WAS READING TO ME! this is all I could have ever wanted since the ending of 30 rock. she lulled me into laughter and made every second memorable.
TINA FEY. yeah, like who else would be my favorite character? the lesbians from high school?
IT WAS TINA FEY. her beautiful voice was all i needed. I didn't even have to imagine how she said things, because she did that for me.
TINA FEY will make you laugh so much. I almost lost control of my car a few times as the tears trickled down my face.
TINA FEY IS MY ONLY ADDITIONAL COMMENT! BECAUSE SHE IS TINA FEY, THAT IS A BIG DEAL!
It was brought to life by Tina Fey and that gave the audiobook an edge that wouldn't be achieved from just reading the book.
No, this was my first.
It made me truly laugh out loud.
Honest, down to earth and funny listen. I have recommended to several friends already.
Probably if it was a book ofher ccomedy routines.
It sounded like she was reading as fast as she could just to get through the book
First I love Tina Fey as a commedian and actor. I was really looking forward to listening to her book especially after all the glowing Audible reviews it received. What I found was a crude attempt at humor by a reader who was exploiting her name. It soon became boring and repetitious. What a shame.
I would. It was enjoyable and funny.
Who was my favorite character? huh? LOL. I love Tina Fey. She really endeared herself to me.
I enjoyed hearing her expressions and tones as she read. I feel like I got more out of it.
We listened to this on a cross-country trip. It was a huge hit. I laughed and found myself identifying with her (except I am not an actress, etc). We really enjoyed it
Tina Fey! This book has to be listened to because it is just like she is telling me the stories!!
It's hilarious for one and two if feels genuine and not hyped up to be funny.
No... but I love everything Tina does!
If you haven't read this book, you need to! It will make you laugh out loud for sure.
So much fun.
Laughed out loud a lot...
I have a long commute to work and listen to a lot of books. This was the first non-fiction I've tried. If you like Tina Fey, I think you will really enjoy this - she is smart and funny and make a lot of keen observations.
I'm listening to Tina Fey. She's smart, funny and so real - making fun of everything. I wanted to listen to this all in one sitting, but alas, my work day has to end sometime and outside of my office it's nearly impossible for me to listen to an audio book anywhere else. The PDF of photos is a great addition. The only thing she doesn't really make fun of...OK, a little...is her dad...and even that is pretty touching and reverent while still being funny. Good job, Don Fey, you have an amazing daughter.
Best -- I respect and admire Tina Fey so much and I am a big fan of 30 Rock, so I really enjoyed getting a behind-the-scenes glimpse at her career and personal life. Least -- Sometimes it felt a little preachy... but I suppose that's why "Bossypants" is a fitting title.
I think Fey went through her stories a little too quickly in parts. Especially at the beginning, it seemed she felt awkward narrating. But she seemed to get into more of a groove as she went along. By the end of the book she did a better job of giving her dry humor enough time to be absorbed.
I listened to this on a long road trip. It's a fantastic travel "read" because it consists of a series of short stories about her life. So you can stop to get snacks or use the restroom (or shake your fist at that jerk semi that pulled out in front of you) without loosing your way in the story.
I'm so glad Tina Fey read her own biography. It was perfect in her voice.
I absolutely loved when she talked about her mom giving her the pamphlets for womanhood and skipped over the part where she should've sat down and talked to her directly.
Everything. Tina Fey just has a way with performing and comedy. She's genius.
