Having Tina Fey narrate her own book was great since her humor and personality really shone through. I'm somewhat familiar with Tina Fey but am not a huge fan or anything so I found the book very interesting and learned a lot. Overall, the book is funny and interesting with her many stories about SNL, being a woman comedian and being a mother. This was the PERFECT audiobook in particular because of these stories. You'll definitely enjoy it!
Absolutely! Tina Fey narrating the book makes it that much more memorable.
"Sleep when the baby sleeps. But why stop there!"
Too many to name - really!
Tina uses her great sense of humor to deliver an impressive life story in a purely entertaining way.
Tina has the best way of delivering the subtly interjected jokes.
After reading the reviews of the readers’ feedback I purchased the book and was very disappointed that it was not funny or entertaining as the readers have mentioned… I actually find it annoying and boring. The fact that the author reads is does not add to the experience. She is talking about trivial things and gives her own opinion which is neither original nor adds value to the view on the facts or situation she is describing. I went half way through and had to abandon this book. Such a waste of time and money! Probably people who were watching her show or are her admirers would find this book useful as a source to get to know the author intimately.
I would go with an author who I have read before and enjoyed and would not experiment based on the best selling list books.
Ms. Fey did not need to strive to be as reproachable as her males counterparts.
She's emulating her male counterparts in an effort to show she can be as 'good' as they are. I was hoping she would be less offensive than other humorists, but alas...
Tina fey has a great voice and adds to the book when she reads it.
I listen to this book while running and sometimes I have to stop And laugh. Great audio candy
I would definitely listen to another book read by Tina Fey, again, although I am not a big re-reader/listener of books I've already consumed. Too many new ones to try instead!
I never even realized she had a scar--one that apparently is a big deal. I had to Google it after that part.
The discussion on how she ended up doing Sarah Palin, and the fallout from it.
Tina's a superb narrator; I really think the book comes alive being read by her.
This book was so funny, I could barely stop laughing while listening. I had read a few reviews saying she spoke too quietly at parts, which turned out to be true, but it was because she was giving side notes or funny underhand remarks. Overall, a GREAT book to listen to.
Tina is telling her own story and conveys it perfectly! It's like having a friend in your car telling you a really interesting story.
This was my first audio book, so I don't really have a comparison just yet. It's good, tho, trust me.
She is reading it herself, so you get her voice, her inflection and you can't misunderstand anything that was intended to be sarcasm because you can hear it in her voice.
If I could have listened to this all at once, I would have. As it is, I will definitely listen again and again.
It's just as awesome as she is, so if you like her, you will like this.
