Tina Fey Is wonderfully hilarious and her life, prior to becoming a star, was just a normal life. The story is light and doesn't require your full attention, so you can listen while putting on your face, driving, cooking, etc.
Only having seen her on SNL. I can't really compare her in character to her in reality.
I laughed, a lot.
A credit well spent.
Say something about yourself!
A realistic feminist book
Tina's personal growth
Women in the work place, and her daugther.
She is Empowering without beig a crazy feminist. In a funny way she explains how can you be the boss without losing yourself.
Listened to this book on a long drive and loved every second. Like watching an 6 hour stand up comedy show. Literally laughed out loud while stuck in traffic, my car neighbors though I had lost it. Must listen if you, like me, are a Liz Lemon fan. Enjoy!
I love literary books! When it comes to audible though, I love non-fiction. I intend to try a lot more regardless. :)
I was a beginner at Audible and I wanted to try something that would not deter my attention away from the person reading, so I picked the marvelous, Tina Fey. Knowing that she is a very funny lady, I knew that I wouldn't be disappointed with my choice.
I wouldn't have said that her book was riviting, nor would I say that the chapters were very long or expertly written, but I would say that she had a way of telling her story that made the reader interested. She talked mostly about her life, how it shaped her into the person she is today. It's just as simple as that. It is a book that can be listened to in quick snippets, like washing the dishes, or switching a load of laundry. It wasn't a book that you had to listen to continuously and so you didn't have ot worry where the story stopped. Overall, it was a good book, read by the author who spoke about her own points of view and this is what made it enjoyable.
Short, funny, and so perfect, I really enjoyed reading Bossypants. It's definitely one of the best non-fiction audiobooks I've listened to.
Clearly, Tina Fey.
She's so funny and despite what she says, I think she does great impressions.
I laughed a lot.
I liked Tina Fey from Saturday Night Live and some of her movies, but really didn't know much about her, other than she is pretty funny. This book does not disappoint. I laughed out loud so many times. This is a great book.
I enjoyed this book. It is an interesting story, told well by Tina Fey. Since I am outside the US I actually have very little knowledge of her work, (I am not a TV watcher) but I still very much enjoyed her story.
Yes, it was worth listening to. Maybe not worth the audible credit because it was so short.
I think it may not have translated well to audio, even with Tina Fey narrating. Some things are meant to have a written impact.
Worth listening to, not worth the audible credit.
I was surprised to find I wasn't crazy about this book. It was actually somewhat dull.
This book does not compare to any other book. I wish this wasn't the first audio book I'd ever listened to, because now no other book will be as good.
I especially loved hearing about her growing up years. I enjoyed getting a glimpse into the ungainly upbringing of Tina Fey.
Tina's recount of her transition into womanhood.
Awesome that it was narrated by Tina Fey! No one else would be able to convey her sense of humor better than herself.
