"Misleading - Page shide indicate only excerpts"
I wanted to finaly get around to reading the book. This is disappointing. Weppage says speach but does not indicate it is only excerpts from the book. I may enjoy this after I I get a copy of the book, but this was really misleading. Its about as bad as when I bought the Spanish copy of the Art of War.
"Terrible"
This was terrible not what I thought at all. Boring and not informative. Just read the book and enjoy it for its own sake.
"Pretty disappointed"
I listened to the commentary wondering when they were going to read the book and they never did. they just talked about it.
"Program Type: Speech, isn't misleading"
Not sure why this received negative reviews from those who were looking and thinking they purchased the audiobook.....the program type clearly states it's a Speech, as most symphonyspace productions are. And the summary describes it as follows: The evening includes readings, discussion and audience Q&A. Performance playlist: Readings and conversation with Kurt Andersen, Libba Bray, Stephen Colbert, Oskar Eustis, Mary McDonagh Murphy, Jayne Anne Phillips, and Isaiah Sheffer, a discussion with the audience. We used this with a class studying Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird and found it very informative.
"Best Book Panel"
Yes! It is such an interesting cast of people discussing and celebrating 50th anniv of To Kill A Mockingbird.
How it influenced the panel the first time they read it and a more recent re-read.
Steven Colbert was really very intelligent and emotional. He was not silly at all. It was a pleasant surprise. The other's are not so famous to me, but they ALL were wonderful.
Not a good film.
The live audience Q&A was poor audio quality and was a waste of time.
