While the narrator gives Kvothe a good voice, it seems underwhelming at times. Yet at other times he hits the note with a perfect ease. Its the only drawback in my opinion, as the story is wracked with a great plot, good characters, and even better chapters filled with views on life and subtle hints at the authors though on the grand scheme of things. Overall, wonderfully written and performed.
Fantastic story, well written and well read. One of my favorite stories, I can't wait for the final book to be released.
Nick was very good as a narrator and the story was smooth but by time Patrick give us the next Nick's voice going to sound like an old man..
very fine performance that accompanies a fantastic story. the second book of the trilogy answers many of the questions the first book raised but leaves you wanting more. With that I eagerly await the last book of the trilogy.
Granted that the story is perfect and that there is no way to avoid liking the characters, Nick Podehl does an amazing job of reading one of the most intriguing series I have read in a long time.
What can i say that others haven't, in my opinion this series is one of the best i have ever read. My only fear is how horrible the T.V. show is going to butcher this masterpiece.
One of the best books I've ever "read"!
Can't wait for the next one. Not one to miss if you're a fantasy junkie like myself
