The only thing better than reading Suzanne Brockmann's lively prose is hearing those word's performed by Patrick Lawlor and Renee Raudman.
Did she ever touch on so many subjects or what????? I thought it was a bit too long; otherwise good. Can't say enough about Patrick Lawlor and Renee Raudman together---narrators can make or break an audiobook. They did a great job. Many books you can listen to many times, but this one is as I said before was a bit too long. I will say also that while the young person in the story may have be gay (I still say how do they know it being so young); he was only 15 and should Not have said the "f" word so much--maybe I am being naive because it is 2011, but I think they know too much anyway--let them be kids as long as can. Oh well, I will stop preaching.
I still like Suzanne Brockman's books and will read her again.
Izzy's story does not disappoint and the narrators are beyond, they bring all 4 characters to life. Each different, loveable and so so sexy. Loved it !!!
This really was a pretty good story but two things ruined it for me. 1. The author brings in political themes and is very biased in her presentation. Typing child sexual abuse and sexual slavery with a total over statement of some objections to illegal immigration caused me to be infuriated. 2. the sex scenes are totally outrageous, over the top and repetitive. Maybe some like that - I didn't.
The story is so-so, but character development weak and sex scenes too graphic and frequent. This could almost qualify as an erotic novel. I finished the book, but this is one I am glad is finished.
Love a great book that stays with you long after you've finished it.
This book was a disappointment, story line was very minimal and predictable. There is a rainbow of adjectives out there, this author prefered to use swear words in a repetitive manner to add expressive conversation, after a while it just becomes boring. Buy a dictionary Suzanne.
On a positive note, extreemly good naration by Patrick Lawlor and Renee Raudman. Unfortunately does not make this book worth the download.
