I ignore genre labels. Some of my favorite books are outside my genre comfort zone. Listening to audiobooks is still reading. Not theater.
I think this is the book that Snoopy spent so many years typing out as he sat on top of his dog house.
On the old SCTV series, the actor Joe Flaherty used to play a cheesy vampire character named Count Floyd, who spent most of his time trying to convince the audience that something totally silly was actually quite "scarrrrrry" and wiggling his eyebrows. I think the author had Count Floyd in mind when she created these characters. If she tried to make the book sound scary, it might disguise the fact that it was silly.
Unfortunately it doesn't work this way. Making the narrator speak slowly and ponderously doesn't help either.
Silly book. I didn't finish it.
I have a listening addiction.
a vampire romance novel. big disapointment. no idea it was this drivel before i used my credit. please give my credit back so i can buy a real sci fi book
I just Love the Allure of a Great Romance...a Pair of Rose Colored Glasses...some Fine Wine, and a Subscription to Audible...
Well, I couldn't even get past the first 3 chapters...Don't waste your credit!
The only thing that could have made this a 4 or 5 star rating, would be to start over...
Hola, soy India!
Cliche romance novel. Maybe its the way Abby read the book. Maybe its the way Christine wrote it. But I it made me want to blow my brains out as I listened to it.
If you like your author to repeat themselves over and over for hours unended, this is the book for you. By the time I got to the end of it- I wanted desperately to find the creator of this disaster and slap her senseless. The constant drone of the characters poorly formed romance, under a layer of preternatural guise made me want to vomit. The only reason I finished this book is because I got it for free as my first credit purchase. The readers reviews and ratings are highly dissappointing and I hope to never encounter anything this incredibly awful ever again.
this is the whinest story ever. couldn't even finish. honestly what is the point of discussing something for an hour and still not doing anything? awful.
I'd read this series years ago and liked all of them. So I thought I'd treat myself to the narrated version. What a whiny, over melodramatic syrup fest. The narrator made the heroine into a whiny, wimp. Yuck...too much cotton candy makes one quite ill.
