I have a listening addiction.
a vampire romance novel. big disapointment. no idea it was this drivel before i used my credit. please give my credit back so i can buy a real sci fi book
I just Love the Allure of a Great Romance...a Pair of Rose Colored Glasses...some Fine Wine, and a Subscription to Audible...
Well, I couldn't even get past the first 3 chapters...Don't waste your credit!
The only thing that could have made this a 4 or 5 star rating, would be to start over...
Hola, soy India!
Cliche romance novel. Maybe its the way Abby read the book. Maybe its the way Christine wrote it. But I it made me want to blow my brains out as I listened to it.
A better reader might have helped me finish the book
I usually like this author, but will not buy any read by this person
Tom Stechschulte often reads for this author and does an excellent job
The reader droned through the prose with the sepulchral tones one might expect from a very bad, old-fashioned preacher, but hammed-up the dialogue so that one might feel they were listening to a conversation between "Lurch" and "Tweetie-pie".
If you like your author to repeat themselves over and over for hours unended, this is the book for you. By the time I got to the end of it- I wanted desperately to find the creator of this disaster and slap her senseless. The constant drone of the characters poorly formed romance, under a layer of preternatural guise made me want to vomit. The only reason I finished this book is because I got it for free as my first credit purchase. The readers reviews and ratings are highly dissappointing and I hope to never encounter anything this incredibly awful ever again.
The main charterers the guy is pushy which I can deal with but the female lead you just want to slap with how whiny she is through out the whole book. I kept hoping it was going to get better but it didn't. Wow what an annoying waste of time, not my cup of tea.
I hate writing a review like this but I just cant help myself after listening to this drivel.
Not Christine Feehan
Not sure if it was that woman reading that enhanced the whiny tone of the female lead but it couldn't have been more like nails on a chalk board if she tried.
I got nothing
Awful narrative not sure if the sappy sex scenes were worse I had to force myself through this book since I pitched it too far back to return
I couldn't finish this book. I really tried but the story didn't pick up and all I got out of it was a very needy and clingy man. Like other readers, I found myself eye rolling a lot.
Yes anyone who has a problem with eyesight will be able to continue to enjoy a good book through audiobooks. If you do not have an eyesight problem these audiobooks allow you to do housework or other things while listening to great stories.
Julian Savage I liked his sense of humor.
Not sure how to answer that.
No I was just a fun book to listen to because of the new twist on how vampires came to be.
A Must Read,
My first audio book that I just couldn't put down...
The story as well as the narrator held me as a captive audience from start to finish. (had to find a pair of head phones because I had things to get done and didn't want to stop listening) I see that the author is an accomplished writer and can only hope that I can find another one of her books I can enjoy as much as I did this one..I don't know if there is a second book to pick up were this one ended ..( not a cliffhanger) Sure hope so..( if not maybe there should be.. hint, hint) Lol;) Thanks for a great book...
