This was the first time I have listened to a Lisa Gardner novel. I enjoyed it so much that am going to download another as soon as I am finished with this review. She weaves an incredibly detailed story. I loved that I couldn't guess what was going to happen next nor could I judge any of the characters because my persception of them was ever-changing as the plot unfolded. An excellent listen!!!
The narrators were both good, however, the person who read for Det. D.D. Warren had a wonderful and commanding voice.
I Love You More - But you'll never guess how far I'll go to prove it!
Keep up the great works Lisa Gardner!
This is my second book of Lisa Gardner's and I am a true fan, cannot wait to read more. I read "Catch Me" first, and that was brilliant! And this one did not disappoint. It's not a matter or whodunit, but why did she do it? But of course, the plot will take some twists and turns, and keep you guessing about 3/4 of the way through. The end begins to slow in terms of any major twists, but the suspense continues!
It was one of the best I have listened to thus far. Intriguing and suspenseful. The book started a reader at one point and carefully guided them through a maze to an ending that was far from the beginning point.
The intrigue was apparent from start to finish. I often use my listening time to walking my dogs and the dogs were walked a lot while I listened.
I loved the way a Mother's love was constantly displayed and showed to what lengths a
I just wanted to sit back and just listen the weaving was so well mastered.
I have recommended this book to many of friends whether they
when she discovered she had a son.
they really bring the characters individual personalities out.
The high suspense parts drew me in and kept me on the edge and anxious for her.
This is a terrific mystery that has you engaged from the first 2 minutes. I gobbled it up in a couple of days. The lead character is a scrappy little woman who you are rooting for through the book. Lots of action and a compelling story line.
The narrators are wonderful...I'm looking for another book by this author.
This is my 5th Lisa Gardner book- they're all good but this one was the best. You won't regret using a credit on this one!
Writen very well. Did not figure it out to far in advance. Good Book!
Different voices and expressions.
All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth.
Yes -it's a GOOD story
Being told from the criminals perspective.
You will not see this one coming
Lisa is just the best author on my list. I have not read one of her stories yet that just didn't keep me want to read more. On my list of reads with a 1 to 5 scale, she gets a 7 for this one...
I found this story to be really good, except all the swearing really bothered me. It got to the point in the story where I was starting to wonder if the author knew other words. It was making her look unintelligent and not very creative in her descriptions. Don't get me wrong, I can understand using the F word in certain situations where the word makes sense and fits in context, but in this story it was used way too much even in places it wasn't needed to get the point across. I really liked the story line and it kept me wanting to finish the book which I did, but I won't recommend it to people I know because of the swearing. I feel it would offend them as it did me. I couldn't even listen to the book from my computer because I didn't want my kids to hear all the swearing. I probably won't listen to any more of Lisa Gardner's novels for this reason because I want a good story and I don't feel I should have to listen to someone else swear every two minutes. I know I am not the only one who feels this way either.
Very surprising twists and turns to the story. Just when I thought I had it figured out I would find out that I didn't. The story would take another turn. Very good ending. Looking forward to reading more by this author.
