I loved the wit of the story. The heroine is someone who Any woman could relate to... hippie parents or not.
Mo. I just wanted to be her. I tried convincing my husband to move to Alaska twice!
Eve-y. I dont know how its spelled... but I had an image of what she would have looked like and the voice fit. She was someone that I would have wanted to hang out with in the same situation.
I wish I could have. I listen to it at work when I have a time alone... so thats only two or three times a week.
I cant wait to look for other stories from this author. What a joy.
I didn't know what to expect when I downloaded this book, but the title caught my attention, so I went for it. I was so surprised at how much I laughed and smiled through this book. The performance is fantastic. The story, which definitely kept my attention the whole way through, is not really my typical style, but again, I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed this. Each character is perfectly developed-- you're sure to love them all and want to move straight to Grundy and dine at the Blue Glacier Saloon. Went way way too quickly!
Snarky, witty, sexy and fun. Amanda Ronconi gives depth and flare with her sarcastic inflection. I would highly recommend this and all other Molly Harper books.
Definitely not a serious listen, but given the title, if that's what you were expecting I'm not sure why you'd choose this book. It was a nice listen with some good sexy parts too. I didn't find it as laugh out loud funny as some other listeners suggested they had done. And I haven't been itching to check out another by this author, though I wouldn't automatically say no.
A different narrator. Her voice and accent were worse than fingernails running down a chalkboard.
Noooooo. Once enough in this case.
Oh my heavens, no. A thousand times NO!
The whiny main character. She is insufferable.
Very, very disappointing story. The narrator ruined it for me. Tough werewolf came off as whispery boy. The southern dwarl of the main character distracted from the story.
Amanda Ronconi has a great voice and works perfectly with Molly Harper's humor. Have fun.
We want more!
This is a somewhat mindless book, but thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless! I will continue to listen to other books by Molly Harper
This author is new to me. But boy, am I glad I downloaded this one! Her style is funny and wry, perfect for listening to on the way to work (I laugh so much, I go into the office in a great mood).
She narrates the overall story well and does the female characters brilliantly. I love, love, LOVE her
Funny story, well-written, and light enough to brighten even the rottenest drive home.
That it was a spin off of her other book.
I just love her writing style. Her stories make me laugh out loud. I loved the dynamic between the characters and that she continued the story line from her last Werewolf book.
I just enjoyed her voice very much. After listening to a bunch of her books, I felt like I missed having her read to me, so I got this book too.
When she found out she was pregnant.
I didn't care for the launguage at all. There was way too much of it and it turned me off. Some of the sex scenes were a bit too graphic and too many. That could have been toned down a bit. She's such a talented writed that she doesn't have to cow-tail to the listeners to give them things like that for their benefit.
This book is a lovely piece of worthwhile fluff. The earthiness of it is incredible, and speaks to almost anyone whose ever lived in a small town. The magical aspect of it keeps it from being boring, and the orator makes you believe the southern twang. I actually laughed outright in a couple places, and while its a little racy, well... who doesn't enjoy that from time to time?
