I bought this book based on the excellent reviews it got and they didn't lie. This book was funny and entertaining and Very Naughty!
There's not much real paranormal in this paranormal romance, but plenty of suggestions of Northern Exposure meets Dharma and Greg. Pure fluff with a bland, verging on annoying female lead who finds her guy in a brooding, easily manipulated were. This story seemed to go on forever before the inevitable results of sex show up, as conveniently shortened gestation. As harmless and silly as Naked Werewolf is, I almost regret the time I spent listening to it. The narrator is adequate unless trying to do regional accents.
This was a fun read. Like Ms. Harper's "Nice Girls" series this story is filled with hilarious dialog. The story itself was kind of a combination between "Men in Trees", "New Moon" and Merlotte's bar. Being a fan of all of those, I quite enjoyed this book.
The characters, other than the main ones, are not as interesting, and it is deffinitely not as just plain hilarious as Jane. It is funny, but this book seems juvenile like young adult fiction . That is OK if the story is line is good and characters are well developed, but this one has graphic, somewhat violent sex scences that just don't seem to fit. It just made the book feel like an uneven, bumpy ride. It has humor which helps, but again not as funny.
This is the third book by this author that I have read. This one was different since it took place in Alaska. I thought the weather should have played a greater part in the novel. I enjoyed this one but it have noticed that Molly Harper's male characters are rather wimpy despite being supernatural creatures. It's a light read although I figured out easily who the bad guy was in the book.
This book has absolutely no value. I learned nothing that I could take away from the book. The narrators high pitch voice can grate on you. Her attempt to do male voices is terrible. The authors attempt to write a sex scene is the worst I have encountered. Good luck if you decide on this one.
It is a great chick-lit short story. It kept me laughing from beginning to end and it lacked the silly drama that some chick-lit has. Then ending seemed abrupt but it did not take away from the story.
I am Who I am; and you are Who you are...so lets leave it at that.
You will love the book from beginning to end. It is soo good that you wish it will not end. You will fall in love with herine and hero. It is fun and funny and worth every penny. I can't wait for the next book. This is going to be feel good listen. if you like funny one liners and hard headed lovers this the book for you.
Hope you enjoy story like I did.
Sooo the book is great! Even with my dry sense of humor this had me CRACKING UP. I'm glad I took a chance on it, it is well worth the credit. Amanda Ronconi's voice is kind of similar to the reader in the Twilight Series.
