I grew up on Golden Age Radio, I love to learn about a great many things, and I enjoy a wide variety of genres. Me, bored? Never!
These are classic, old school vampire tales. Modern bloodsuckers aren't vampires - they're fairies with bad attitudes. Herein lies the template of all that's come before and should come again.
I can't say if this IS the most complete volume of vampire stories ever published, but it certainly covers a very broad watershed. When I saw that the stories go back as far as the 19th century, I expected some dull and even downright tedious stories among this collection. Not at all! The stories are all interesting. The range of narrators adds to the interest. This is a really well-done collection of horror stories.
No, for I don't listen to, read or watch the same movie twice. So much to listen to... So little time!
No one. Too many to keep track!
Tales of the Vampire
Is there a sequel to this book?

The narrators helped add life to the even most tedious of the stories.
I really don't think I need to hear another vampire story for a very long time.
Like most anthologies, this is hit or miss. Some were quite enjoyable, some rather tedious. The older stories were especially trying, probably due to the victorian writing style.
yes i would try
maybe a love story
not that i would like to listen too
I truly love the older tales about the vampires. The old English and the way they were written are just amazing. Also, the way the narrators describe the author before the story begins is very helpful.
Too many to count.
So far, they are fine.
Impossible, 60 hours... I did listen to about 6 hours straight though.
Would recommend to anyone not looking for super gory, but well written literature.
Wow, this is the longest read ever. Some of the stories were good but not many were very good. A trip through the history of vampire stories.
Better stories, not so many old hackneyed stories.
Pretty much, will be much more careful with short stories.
The narration was wildly uneven as far as I listened, may have gotten better but I lost interest.
Not for me.
Save your money.
I haven't read the print version. The audio version was great though. Lots of different performers, but they all did a great job. This is ridiculously long though as a serious of short stories, so break it up. I tried to do in all together and it wore me out.
I can't think of anything
too many to name
I liked it
