I wasn't aware how much this book was dominated by religion, maybe I didn't get enough information about it ahead of time. The story was interesting but kind of hokey and a bit far fetched, even if it was true. Just not my style at all!
I thought this was a fantastic testimony. The orator did an excellent job reading the book. I didn't want to turn it off to work but had to. I was kept rivited to my computer. I want to share it with everyone.
This book was very inspirational and full of confirmation of what most of us had read or have been taught. It gives hope to those that may fear death and comforts those who have lossed love ones. Although he has come from a spiritual family who reads bible stories to their children at a young age you can not ignore what he has seen that he would not have known. This is for believers and seekers. For those on the fence a must.
What an incredibly fascinating story. I would be driving to work listening and wanted to stay in the car to see what would happen next. Its a book that makes you think long and hard about whether there is a heaven and a God. A great book that already have recommended to others who have also loved it too.
As a "believer" I found this a little hokie. . . . too much of this story is contrived . . . the author and his son spend too much energy convincing the reader of its believability.
Not especially well-written, but the story is riveting and very believable. The non-believers will find holes in the story and explain it away. Believers will find even more proof that there really is a place called heaven.
When you stop to realize that this is an actual account of what a 4 year old boy experienced when undergoing an emergency appendectomy, you will find it to be very compelling. I listened to it in the car on a 3 hour trip. I hadn't quite made it to the end and could not wait for some quiet time to listen to the end.
What a blessing that Burpos chose to share their story. I recommend this book for children, mothers who have lost a child and anyone struggling in their faith.
I appreciate the interview included in the beginning.
Great story telling gives great insight and details about so many aspects.
Absolutely amazing. I appreciate the family sharing this with the world!
Whether you take this story at face value or you just read/listen past the scripture and see the power of the mind for this little boy - it is a wonderful story and should be shared.
Production quality of this recording was not as polished as most I listen to but was just ok in that respect.
