I would have focused more on Stevie Rae and the Raven Mocker. Unlike the previous books where Zoe has multiple love interests, Stevie Rae only has one, a crazy one... and it would have made the book more worth while to understand those dynamics more.
Yes, I'm waiting on the final book now.
Better than the last narrator worse than the first narrator for the series.
I fall asleep listening to my audio books... if it konks me out it's worth it. :)
The first 4 books in the series seems promising. The last few however seem to be books to fill in the gaps. I wish they had more details and explanations. But it is what it is, and Im the kind of person who has to know what happens in the end.
I got into Vampire books after Twilight came out. This is a great series. I have read all the books and just purchased the newest one, Destined. Was anxiously awaiting its release ! You will not be disappointed with this series.
Caitlin is no Edwina Wren, but this is MUCH better than jenna or cassandra (books 4-6). Still think there needs to be more difference in the character voices, but at least her voice and inflection is tolerable. She definitely gets bonus points for mostly correct pronunciations, for example sons of erubis and refeim.
Story itself was good. Was def a lead into the next book. Can't wait to start new one.
This is my favorite book in the series. Again the mother daughter duo does an outstanding job pulling you in until the end. I love how this book had some sad undertones but still made me want more. I thought the passion between characters was well written and not over the top.
In addition, this is the second book of the series I listened to and I enjoyed the reader. She had a pleasant voice and did not exaggerate accents.
This series while interesting has been moving a little slow, considering it takes a book to get through one night of the story... we actually get through a few days in Awakened, and the story moves along quite a bit. Looking forward to the next installment.
The first half of the book had so much cheese, Velveeta was jealous. I'm glad I stuck it out, though b/c the second half was awesome. I thought the narrator did a great job. I think the Casts are improving in their writing skills, save the very Harlequin Romance beginning. Plus, I like the return of a certain character whom I thought was poorly judged. Over all, it was really enjoyable and I can't wait til Nov!
I have enjoyed the series from the first chapter of the first book. But the last two books have just left a little to be desired. I have kind of felt that although they have good plots and some, "Ooo! can't stop now" moments, they have kind of circled and not really went anywhere except predictable. Although in the next to last chapter, whew!! did not see that comming. Don't get me wrong I will be first in line to get the next one in November, I just hope that it may start to wrap some things up.
