What can I say if you didn’t like the first three books then don’t bother? But if you have become a fan of the crazy ongoing relationship of Cat and Bones then climb on board for the ride. Because a ride you’ll get. This book comes down to choices for Cat and Bones and with any stormy relationship with fiery personalities there are all of those outside challenges and influences that make that choice more intense.
Yes this worth a credit
Fantasy & Sci-Fi lover who mostly refuses to read books without their audiobook counterparts. How else can a girl get any housework done?
Oh yes! In fact, I have already listened to it 3 times now and will more than likely do so again.
The whole Night Huntress series and its spin-offs, of course!
I have listened to all of Tavia's performances in the Night Huntress World and they are all amazing, just like this audiobook. She seems to truly get how Jeaniene intended her reading to come across...not that I know for sure, exactly, but you can just tell when a narrator "gets it."
I wanted to, but I try to force myself to take my time. You know, to "savor the flavor." :)
I loved this audiobook and it's actually one of my favorites of the whole Night Huntress series.
I have so many times I have lost count
The power of the love between bones and cat
How she acted out the over whelming emotions when bones and cats broke up
You did it again
Again I say what about Ian and will cat and bones ever have a wedding ceremony
So many twist and turns, I want another try to iron out all the cerv balls.
I found my self with a lump in my returne to new orleans.
If you love the other books your probably already hooked just likee.
Cat is one tough girl!
I don't know this book was my first about vampire s besides true blood
I love her accent
It made me laugh
I can't wait to finish this series!
I love a good book, nomatter what, right now Ilona andrews has my ears. Can't get enough of the Majic series, I can so see this series into a really good moive Curran gets me everytime. have all of Nora roberts,Linda Lael Miller and Catherine Coulter. Keep the good listenig coming Audible.
Ok, So I really like this series, but like all writers you make the tough kick ass women turn into a whimpy whiney person that I hate in the end. I do not feel that CAt should have been turned! The entire series we great with ther being half vampire, and she wss not only tough but not a push over. But you turned her in this book and now I really hate that I brought the last 2 i this series becasue she will be a full vampire and we have so many typical sreies like this.
No, becasue this is whare it becomes your typical vampire story with the women being whimp.
She is a really great reader, I to enjoy her performance and accent.
only if the story line is changed. but yes ai can see this becoming a move and reaaly good one. this is a different story line she cat is half/vampire and actually kills vampires.
Say something about yourself!
The Night huntress serious has become one of my favorites. I enjoy all the trouble Cat finds herself in just because she is who she is. Although the Gregor story seemed a bit far fetched I was still listening anytime I had that change.
As I have come to find with Ms Gilbert, the narration was great!!
I love a good series. My favorite of all time is The Dresden files, second is Sandman Slim.
If I read the series over again, yes. I'm not sure if I would only because there are so many books out there that I need to read. It really is good enough to go through again, though.
The most memorable moment in the book for me was when Cat got her memories back about Gregor. It was really neat to see how young and naive she was before she started killing vampires and met Bones. Gregor was such an ass to her, but she felt that she wanted him because she was scared for her family.
The climax of the story is just so intense. Jeaniene really knows how to make a story go down with a bang, not like a limp noodle. Cat's emotions and power were so great to see, especially when she harnessed the power of fire and telekinesis at the same time. No one messes with Bones in her presence, even in the face of death.
I almost always have extreme reactions to the stories in this series. Tavia's acting ALWAYS puts you right into the story's drama. Also, the writing is just SO funny sometimes, to make your burst into tears you're laughing so hard, like when Mencheres was told to speak in the modern dialect for once, "The sh*t's gonna splatter, start buggin', yo.” I lost it as I was driving home from work. Not much is funnier than to imagine egyptian royalty dropping down ebonics.
I'm so glad that Audible suggested this author. These books have been keeping me company on my commutes for a while and I'll be so sad when there are no more books in the series! This definitely is not young adult vampire fiction!
Books are my addiction when it comes to "ME" time, you can usually find me under a warm fuzzy blanket with my Audible App engaged!
I have not read the printed version but there is a points in the story were I feel it is better to have the audio copy then the digital/printed copy. Some aspects of the book are more effective if they are heard rather than read.
When Cat was remembering her times with Gregor and then how it made Bones feel.
This series is the only time I have listened to Tavia narrate but she does an excellent job.
Yes I started it on Monday and will complete it on Wednesday. If life didn't happen I would have never taken my head phones out.
