not so sure I would, no
I didn't feel he was the right narrator for this kind of work. I imagine him better reading for a financial thriller or something by John Grisham
no. Let me rethink a second ... no.
The author stole too many elements from other works - zombies from the Halo series, "I have a set of unique skills that ..." from Liam Neeson, and so forth. There was nothing he added to the greater body of Star Wars literature and I ended up stopping halfway through.
Great book. And Lionel Luther is awesome! I was worried when I realized Marc Thompson wasn't reading. In his own way John Glover is great. Marc is great with voices and John is great with feeling. The story is StarWars. I don't know why people get weird cause there are zombies. I like both. Regardless it is all about Sith Alchemy. Very StarWars. To be honest I was worried because I read some bad reviews. I honestly don't think they even listened to it or if they did they went into it with a closed mind. Let's face it Marc Thompson has spoiled is when it comes to audiobooks. Any ways I own every non abridged StarWars Audiobook and will be listening to this one again and again!
Hmmm for 4 months this book has been on my mind to download next time i get a new credit! But i have always read the rewieves and always decieded not to download it! But now when i finally did i regrett it!!
Only did it so i can say i finished the old republic books! but now when it's done i could have easily justed skipped it!!
I did like the zombie crossover thing going on. However, the narrative wasn't that great. Narrator changes his voice to dramatically, made me lose my focus on the story several times. At one point his voice changes every other word. Granted he did try, it was just over done.
Heck yeah! And I already have. Largely due to the fact that John Glover does such a brilliantly fantastic job of bringing Joe Schreiber's gruesome grand guignol tale of dark towers & dark intent (in a really elite prep school) to life. Good stuff!.
The sad, terrible and disguting fate of what turned out to be my favorite of the Sith students (as much as one can be). The one that lasted the longest. That almost got away. Believe me, you'll know who I'm talking about when you get there. Though I also loved the moments of comradery between a bounty hunter and an unrestrained droid. You'll know when you get to that too.
Oh, the HK droid, by far. It's such a great performance. I'm already a fan of that kind of droid in other media. And Mr. Glover did this one absolute justice. Brilliant.
Horror Beyond Imagination
It's short. It's quick. It's bloody. It's gruesome. It's got a great Sith Lord. It's got a few lightsabers. And it's got a zombie panic that rapidly goes out of control once it hits the ground running (As they often do). It's nothin' deep. Not gonna kid. But I have to say, it was a fun ride (Especially being that I listened to most of it during the snowy periods we had about a month ago. It was a nice touch.). Trust me: buy the ticket, ride the (scary) ride.
I'll try it but no zombies. Zombies are a dumb fad I believe does not belong in the Star Wars universe.
I didn't mind this flower re-animating a corpse, but once the eating of others happened, I was done.
He is a great performance for the material.
