TUFF, INDEPENDENT, SEXY.
It put a good image to shape shifting.
She has created a unique, alternative universe.
She tries hard, but the Beasts voice and Narrative sometimes slows the story down to much.
I like the story line of the series.
This series is outstanding. I have never written in to review a book although I love audiobooks (and especially Audible!) but I just had to for these books. The story, the characters, the location descriptions (almost as if you are actually in New Orleans.) And I can't say enough about Khristine Hvram's narration. She is my new favorite, so please keep her busy. I can't wait for the next Jane Yellowrock book. Way to go Faith Hunter, Khristine, and Audible!!
Good narration and action packed storyline. Jane's life just keeps getting more and more intersting. Well developed characters and some hot to trot scenes.
I appreciate how Fatih Hunter develops & introduces new characters & the Mercy Blade character is another layer of fascination in the vampire world Faith Hunter is developing. Quite honestly, I cannot think of another series that has captivated as much as this series has. In fact, I cannot imagine why a platform like Amazon or Netflix hasn't done everything they can to secure the rights to these stories & bring them to life. There are not nearly enough strong female characters on film these days & vampire world or no, it's time for a lot more characters like Jane Yellowrock. Thank you Fatih Hunter; keep this up!
Khristine Hvam does a great job as the voice of Jane Yellowrock as well as a narrative of whole story . Can't wait to get next book. love Faith Hunter writing and stories. She keeps you guessing and interested to the very end. love all her character and will continue to get all of her books about Jane Yellowrock she is one of my new favorite heroes.
Not as good as Blood Cross. Plot is confusing not only to the heroine, but to the reader as well, I'm sorry to say. Romantic trouble that drags on and on in the middle. In fact the whole book seems to have a lot of filler. I guess Faith Hunter likes to dance - not very fun to read about though...
The introduction of new species is a good idea. The plot handling of said species - not so good. A disappointment.
And worst of all! The author seems to begin to adapt the dreaded "series writing technique". Threads and questions that remain unresolved, hopefully to be picked up in "the next book". Too much of this in the next one, and I'll call it quits on the skinwalker.
