Hope, Dreams, Love
The description of the destruction of a place in the story.
She was good at portraying the characters and making Derek seem more vulnerable and strong at the same time.
Nothing. Would like listening to another book narrated by Rosalyn Landor.
Mother of 3, grandmother of 6, retired nurse and substance abuse counselor. Thrilled to have the time to read or listen to books again.
Ms. Kleypas has a real talent for writing love stories that grab your interest and keeps it through out the entire book. I also just love how she writes a different book about every character in her series, how each of them have to earn their happily ever after. I rate all her books at least a 4 star rating with the exception of the 2 Russian books which I felt didn't quite measure up to her usual standard. I always look for her books when perusing my wish list and hers are usually the first that go into my cart. This book was especially sweet as I was drawn to Derrick when I read Lilly's story and wondered what she would do with his character.
I throughly enjoyed the book, another good job Ms. Klepas and of course no fault can ever be found with the narrator Rosalyn Landor.
Graduated college, got a job, got married, traveled, had children. Breathing air and growing hair.
This is such a great read. The plotting, characters, secondary characters, location, friends, fashion, and passion all very consistently high quality. I did not enjoy the narrator's portrayal of Derek Craven. I also think his name should've been Crave because Craven means coward and that was a weird name for a good guy.
I gave this book a low rating because I hated the way the male characters were performed and the females were only a little bit better. What I enjoy about this type of book is the characters and the narrator. The males all sounded like they were very old and the lead male was even garbled. I kept falling asleep and never even felt like listening to the end. I was very disappointed with the experience.
In search of the next great Cindarella story

WONDERFUL ROMANTIC STORY
BECAUSE YOU'RE MINE
SHE IS TRULY MY FAVOR NARRATOR, SHE GREAT IN WHAT EVER SHE NARRATES..
WHEN DEREK THOUGHT HE LOST SARAH FOREVER, HIS LOVE TRULY SHOWN THREW.
EVERY BOOK I HAVE LISTEN TO BY LISA KLEYPAS I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED...
Characters and plot are trite and predicable. The Heroine is laughable.
It wouldn't help.
I only have purchased the audio edition and would not have been able to read the book.
The Era it was set in
The voice for the male charachter was almost startling at times! The female characters were perfect pitch though.
Not a terribly interesting story - but the worst part is the narration of the male lead.... just awful!! I think Ms. Landor's narration of the story line and the female parts were lovely, but she really butchered the male lead.
Hour after hour of the same thing: the heroine being soft-spoken and perfect, the hero feeling inadequate of the heroine and remaining emotionally reserved throughout the book. It became so very monotonous. Also, the hero was never really brought to life but remained a flat character that never stirred any attachment or reaction from the reader/listener. Add to that, hours of mundane domestic scenes and one of the dullest endings I have encountered in a while. I found this narrator, who usually adds enjoyment to the experience, quite monotonous here too.
