This is fantastic research presented in a very entertaining manner. The author provides good working examples of how to improve achievement of goals. I really like the narrator. She has a very soothing voice.

I've read a lot of these type books and like others its mostly common sense so I would not recommend to a friend unless this was the first book of this type they had ever read.
Heidi has packed this books with research to back what a lot of spritual practices and leadership principles propose. It helps to have science for our left-brain dominated world! Thank you Heidi for this solid work!
The book contains thought-inspiring information. I have picked up a few insights to myself and those around me.
Yes, she owns the story. You easily believe you are listening to the author.
No laugh, no cry, just need to ignore the overt bias. Names chosen for the examples, titles chosen for examples that are not named, less than subtle choices are made by the author.
This book requires that you accept things at face value. A critical thinker prefers more supporting evidence but if you just roll with it, the information is good and you will learn something.
The personal anecdotes add little to the content. Fortunately they are few in the book.
On the plus side, this s a hybrid delivery - you believe you are listening to a clinical explanation but it is delivered in a friendly, "just listening to my aunt" way.
The book has interesting research-based insights to share. Unfortunately, the narrator's tone and delivery were robotic. I found it difficult to stay focused.
I spend my working day analyzing double bind behavioral studies, and it's the last thing I want to listen to during my free time. I seek out audiobooks to motivate and inspire me, and that's it. Scientific backing isn't that important when it comes to finding new ways of 'pepping me up'. This audiobook was like overhearing a prof teaching an Intro to Social Psychology class. Interesting, but nothing that made me want to get into action or think about life differently.
