The ending could have been wrapped up better, but author chose to put in a real life ending instead of everyone living happily ever after. Personally I like when everyone gets a good ending.
This whole series is great! The only problem I have with this book is how she described West Virginia but she did make up for it in the end by saying it wasnt that bad. I enjoyed this book and cant wait for the spin off.
I finally finished listening to Last Sacrifice. I thought it was the best book in the series! Emily Shaffer did a great job narrating the story and giving different voices/accents to the many characters in the book. The music and sound effects were a nice touch as well.
Although Richelle Mead tied up the major loose ends of the series, there were a few minor details left unfinished???however, I have a feeling they will be resolved in her spin-off series coming out next summer!
This book was bittersweet, but absolutely brilliant. I hope you enjoy [listening to/reading] it as much as I did!
Biggest issue with the series is that the "second class citizen" issue of the Dampires. The series ends and everybody seems psyched that 16 year olds don't have to go off and fight and the "they come first" thinking is still in place. What about lack of voting capability etc.???
Otherwise the series was OK. What is with the leather duster? Seems like an extremely stupid, clumsy piece of equipment for this dude to insist on wearing. Why not a cowboy hat?
Also, some of the accents were goofy. Although, I appreciate silly accents over all of the characters sounding the same.
The series started out good and made a great set up with good characters. As the series went on the quality of the story started to diminish and began to be like every other book. On a whole the series was clean and is a good read for young people.
