This really shows how Jeff is human and faces the same sorts of everyday things like family and friends and sometimes has good luck and sometimes has bad luck. It's what he has done with himself and his life that is very inspiring. Also, I really enjoyed his sharing how each character of his has started as one thing and evolved into what we see today... I do hope that down the road in a decade or so, Jeff does a second memoirs book to let us see how he has continued his journey.
A Learning Experiance
Finding out how hard Jeff worked to make his career into the success that it is today.
The storys about all the old talent he knew along his way that noone would have known that he knew.
Yes. It is a fun 'read'. It is entertaining, but also informative. I really enjoyed the rawness of this story. You never realize that entertainers are human too.
I think Jeff Dunham. Seeing him as a man, warts and all made the book a great listen. All his other characters seem to have happened by accident...
Yes I did read this in one sitting and was not bored once.
Prob not. It was a biography so I already know what happens in it.
None it's one of a kind
I have and the addition of the actual lil guys voices made the book
If this is a book u want to read deff get the audible version because of the added voices!!
This would be one of the few audio book that I expect would be MUCH better on audio then in writing, because Jeff narrates, and does his character's voices.
It was a bit more "history of me, in a non funny way" then I was expecting, but I'm still glad I listened. There were still some good funny parts as well.
Writer of Songs, Musician, Photographer & Artist. Reader of History, Non-Fiction, Music, Science & Cosmology.
What an enjoyable story, I couldn't stop listening. Jeff Dunham is not only great at his art, he is also great at writing his story, and a terrific narrator. Actually, Jeff isn't the only narrator - Walter, Achmed and the characters he created, humorously interrupt Jeff. Sometimes I just want to listen to a book for fun. Sometimes I need to break away from history and the classics. Jeff Dunham's story is just such a book. I found it to be be thoroughly entertaining, humorous, and interesting. Ventriloquism is a disappearing art. Having grown up enjoying many "vents", Jeff's jargon - it brought me back to my childhood, the good old days. All I can add is that I loved this book and I think you will top. Take time out for some pure fun and download Jeff's story. You will not be disappointed.
I really like learning about his experiences. I've enjoyed him since college and like hearing his story.
Funny and a good way to hear about perseverance.
First Tonight show.
Loved listening to this book. Full of enthusiasm and humor. You can tell that Jeff loves his work.
Ordered this book on a whim before starting out on a 5 hour drive. Kept me in stitches and the made the drive seem like a drive to the market rather than a cross-state trek.
I keeeel you!! If you've seen/heard Achmed, you'll know what I mean. If not, buy the book and enjoy!
The voices of the characters.
A look into the mind(s) of a (nearly) schizophrenic comedic ventriloquist.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hearing about Jeff Dunham's journey through life
I loved the fact that Jeff Dunham portrayed all of his characters in the book and argued with himself too.
I was moved by Jeff's chapter about his divorce and his tribute to his daughters. It was very touching.
