Wonderful, Imaginative, Good
The time travel, and the descriptions of the different time periods.
Mr Rudnicki is just one of the best, if not the best. He has great range and fantastic delivery.
Ah, It was a god story, though no extreme reactions.
Ben Bova is really good writer.
Zymu is a lot like you.

It took me a chapter or two to get into Rudnicki's style, but once I got the hang of it I really started to like it.
The book, as a beginning of a series, has good points and bad points. Some of the action is great, some of the philosophical meanderings of the "gods" not so much. I'd probably have a go at the second book in the series, but I have almost a dozen other audio books lined up before it.
Very good story...great narration! I don't know if I can make it through the entire series...but would recomend this as a great stand alone novel.
While I do not wish to spoil the story for others who may wish to read it I must say that if I had known that this was Dances With Wolves and Avatar dressed up in new clothes I would not have purchased it, even at the reduced $4.95 price.
The end, which was supposed to be a big surprise, seemed obvious to me long before the "revelation" and readers who are religious in nature should be warned that this story might not be for them. Overall I was disappointed. I need to stop buying books just because they are on sale ...
I must admit that I was a bit annoyed at first. The POV was so Euro-centric. But the end made me kinda wonder.
Unfortunately this was one of those books that I couldn't finish, probably because it falls in the fantasy rather than scifi category that I was expecting. It seemed to be a series of episodes of a demi-god trying to defeat a god, of course with neither of them ever dying. It just seemed so pointless. But obviously other reviewers liked it, so maybe it's just not to my taste.
i love too read and have people read to me...
the narator, though he did a good job, his voice was real deep and mono tone. kinda put me to sleep. this book dragged on. i paid for it, so i had to finish it. but, i was seriously debating giving up on more than one occasion. good story though.
