I like UF, PRN and historical romances. Some of my favorite authors are Jeaniene Frost, Karen Marie Moning, Richelle Mead, Kim Harrison, Chloe Neil, Lisa Keypads & Julia Quinn. The list keeps growing every day :o)
This book is my favorite in the series!! I have a soft spot for bad boys turn good and Sebastian is just so Wow…. Eve is really sweet and so brave. She really surprise me in this book, she was still shy but also so fiercely and determined. This is a must read story.
I wish there were more books out there like this one
Once heard, I never re-listen to a book.
It was charming, romantic and funny. Loved some of the lines!! Chuckled outloud at times.
Outstanding narrator!! Makes the characters come alive and the characters always sound like themselves -- she never changes them so that they are recognized instantly. Wish I could have her read for "every book I listen to . . . ."
Many of the lines were quite funny. But of course, the main character turns from a 'cad' into an upstanding man.
I like the way Lisa Kleypass writes. You can almost visualize her characters.
The rest of the Wallflower series is great. He's just an amazing hero. I'm in love.
oh my. I have so many in this one. I've already listened to it twice. Nope, can't choose. And don't want to be a spoiler.
In a world....
St Vincent is hot.
Rosalyn Landor is what makes this book so good. Her voice makes the character so good and enjoyable.
When the heroine was taking car of the hero. I like his moody temper. He's too funny and sweet!
This book was the best of the serie.
I've only listened to 2 of the Wallflower books, #2 and this one. I felt this one had more, hmm, integrity? I mean the story was well contained within the book and the loose ends wrapped up. The hero redeemed himself for past misdeeds, and our little Wallflower found some confidence and started to bloom on her own, not just as a result of having a man come to love her and take care of her. I also enjoy getting to know some characters outside of the 'ton'.
You will like the main characters. even though you know how the book will end, the way LK entangles ones imagination in her stories hypnotices. I felt hooked from the begining till the end. The love scenes were HOT. I enjoyed the adventure and complications these characters had to endure. It was fun. This is a good one.
Rosalyn, you did a great job with the "stammer" with Evie. I have a sister and niece that have this and you are right on. Just a little hint also, there is not stuttering when they sing!! Weird huh? I did learn something with the research you seem to have done...so thanks.
The book is wonderful and I though the gentleness Sebastian showed made me cry. Also the strength Evie had was awesome. I did think it went a little overboard at times with Sebastian...but hey, guess that would be under the category of personal preference.
One of my favorites. Really awesome bad boy heros are far to few in regency works, but if you like them this is a book for you. Just had my SECOND listen and it was as good as the first. Kleypas is ALWAYS to be counted on for great plots, wonderful prose, and characters you don't want to give up. Hated to finish this one, again!
This is my favorite historical romance novel. I love this story! I love the Wallflower series. I've read the books and listened to them so many times and I never get tired of them.
I want their stories to continue. I want to follow the Wallflowers and their spouses and children into old age. I love this series and the narration is by one of my favorite narrators! Rosalyn Landor will never disappoint!!! She's fabulous.
OMG I don't know how Lisa Kleypas did it, but this is by far the best book in the series. How she managed to turn St. Vincent into a likable character is beyond me. Love, Love, Love this book! Rosalyn Landor is spectacular in her narration of the characters and their personalities.
