I am sitting at work listening to this book and glad I am alone as I am sitting here laughing out loud. This book is hysterical. I can't wait to listen to more. I like this better then Driving Mr. Dead.
Lacey is great not done listening to book so not sure if her brother will take over as my favorite
This one is just so much more fun to listen to.
I am already figuring out how to listen to the rest tonight.
I am only 3 hours into this book and am looking forward to hours more laughing
I love audiobooks! Got me through pharm school, residency, and now the complete craziness of everyday life!
Sassy and funny! I couldn't stop listening. The reader was fantastic. I've never listened to anything by Molly Harper before. Great comic relief- although tough topic. This book is well worth the buy. I can't wait to purchase another book by Harper.
Say something about yourself!
If you are expecting something other than a rather standard romance novel, you'll be disappointed. It was an amusing premise, however, and the narrator did a good job with it — although I found her slightly edgy voice trying after a long listen.
I loved how funny it was. I was laughing out loud multiple times!
HER BROTHER! He cracks me up.
I can't pick just one, it's all so funny and entertaining.
laugh the entire way through.
This book is the funniest book I have listened to on Audible. I will definitely be looking into more books by the author. Also the narrator does an amazing job, really captures the characters.
I was walking my dogs listening to this story and was laughing so loud that I was afraid my neighbors would think I was crazy. I love the narrator Amanda Ronconi, she really understands the character in this story.
It was really funny, made me smile
The narrator is a huge part of listening to a book and she nails it.
I'm a teacher and I love to listen to books.....I get so much done while I'm listening.....
I love the way Molly Harper tells a story. They are always funny, and lighthearted! and love to listen to Amanda Ronconi tell a story!
The sex. The book was okay until that point about halfway thru and then the protagonist starts bumpin like bunnies and I just got grossed out. I had my fill from that insipid 50 shades crap. Why do we need to interject graphic sex scenes where they don't belong? Who is the author gunning for? I don't know of many males reaching for this material and I don't think EVERY woman wants sex slathered all over a nice getting-over-a-man story. Gratuitous, superfluous and nauseating.
Here we go... 50 Shades has opened up the flood gates for all the poorly-written over-sexualized erotica that does nothing more than bring up your last meal. I don't get it, but I wish I'd known before I waste $5 on this schlock. T_T
Light, fun, cute. Also slightly dark. Of course it's dark though. The book is about betrayal. I found myself completely on the side of the heroine. I want her to do things she doesn't end up doing.
The main character. She's well written.
Hmm. Performance wise I'd say Amanda was great and then lost me with her "old man voice" and then her "gay man voice" they were both grating in the nerves. The gay voice even more so. She breaks into this stereotypical fancy-boy accent which doesn't match her voice for the sister. If the two are siblings, why does the brother talk like he's from planet gay?
I did not laugh, nor did I cry.
I'd say about two thirds through, the main character goes off on her own and the story wanders into strange territory. It goes off track somehow. Comes back just fine.. although I was highly disappointed that the wife did not confront the mistress in the scene where she had a chance. Walking away may be the high road but it makes for a BORING scene. Come on.. give us a tiny bit of drama. Any woman who's been cheated on would probably agree.. you want the fantasy scene where the mistress gets her comeuppance.
For as much as I read and listen you would think by now that I would know how to spell lol. I read at least 5 books a week there are times I have gotten up to 10 in a week.
Who would of ever thought a book based on divorce I would get so much enjoyment out of. I have never laughed so hard in my life. I have to agree with all the reviews that made me check out a new arthor for me. I am so so happy that I did and will be putting Molly Harper on my auto buy. There is nothing I could say that other reviews havent said, You REALLY DO NOT want to miss this book!
I don't normally write reviews and One Last Thing isn't my usual genre, but I was more than pleasantly surprised! Cleverly written, funny and just the right amount of sexy. The lead character is strong despite a few flaws. I can't count the times I laughed out loud (while listening at work and getting a few weird looks from everyone in my office) and thought, "Hell yeah!"
The email that started Lacey's adventure had me practically in tears I was laughing so hard!
Great listen and I will be listening to more Molly Harper!
