Strictly chick-lit fluff, silly, funny, very amusing. Not bound for the classic shelf, but quite good for what it is.I was worn out and grouchy, and this was an excellent listen to lighten my mood. Really liked the narrator, will look for more stuff she does.
A laugh out loud listen if I ever heard one. Well told story with lots of humor that I found myself chuckling out loud too. And very well narrated by Amanda Ronconi as well. She deffinantly added to the story telling. I must look for more stories read by her as well as writen by this author.
I enjoyed the story, although it was predictable. I might listen to it again if I waited for a few months. It was not the kind of book that would become a classic.
The ending was predictable. Still, there are times I really enjoy a book like that.
NO, I have not heard her before. She did a decent job with this book.
I liked the idea of living off in a cabin with not alot of people around.
Yes, it is a fun escape book that makes you laugh.
Amanda did a great job with her overall performance!!
Not extreme just over all fun
I bought this book a really long time ago when I was on a Molly Harper spree but didn't listen to it until now because it was a storyline that didn't jump out at me. I laughed out loud in many places, the book was well written and snarkily hilarious, the interactions between Lacey and Monroe in the beginning through the middle are awesome. I liked it until the ending. The ending was kind of a let down. It was a mature ending and there was a lesson to be learned in but it felt stilted and rushed. It was a let down for me. Amanda Ronconi did a nice job, I'm still not a fan of her male voices but I like that she sounds like she's having a great time reading, so I'm a fan. It's a good, funny book with a meh ending. I'm still glad I listened to it though.
I enjoyed this, it was breezy and easy to listen to.
I loved when the main character found out her husband was a cheat ... I felt her need for vengence!
I really liked this book b/c it was easy to follow and funny. It kept my interest and I didn't want to stop reading/listening.
Monroe because he seemed mysterious.
Bebe, was entertaining.
Did not think that the reader's voice/accent matched the character being from Kentucky? She sounded to northern.
I would certainly recommend this book. It was hard to stop listening but alas I must work. We have all had days and situations when we all wanted to the same thing and tell the world what a rotten person someone else is. What style!!! Is there a company that will do it for others? It could be a real money maker.
Lacey Terwilliger was the favorite character but her attorney is a good second. Lacey is lovable, I feel for her and her situation. She is crazy and sane at the same time.
Amanda Ronconi made the voice really sound like the Character.
I would recommend this book only to someone who was looking for something fluffy to read with little depth. Maybe a friend who was just getting divorced.
Probably not. I would rather save my money for authors I relate to more.
No. It was a complete story, and any more would just beat it to death.
Got this book based on reviews that it was soooo funny. In my opinion there was one funny part around the beginning and the entire plot was based on that one funny act. It was boring, superficial and I would not recommend unless it was free.
The reader was good.
