"Why do you need two narrators?"
The switching over to Ms. Cassidy for women's voices is jarring and beyond irritating! Every time it happens, the flow is broken and I find myself removed from the story. It was so bad that on a recent long drive, it was less annoying to listen to talk radio than to lose myself in what might have been a great story. Its hard to be more annoying than Rush Limbaugh but this production has pulled it off.
I assume that this was an experiment. It has failed. NEVER, NEVER do this again. One story. One Narrator!

"Worst Baldacci yet"
I've read (or heard) a lot of books and have always been a fan of David Baldacci's work. However, this has got to be his worst book yet! I'm about 4 hours into the book and I'm not sure I can take any more. The characters are totally flat, the narration is clumsy and the plot is not very suspenseful. There are 2 narrators on this recording, one male and one female. The back and forth between them is stilted and awkward at times. Do yourself a favor and pick a different book.
"Ho hum, seriously convaluted"
Being an avid Baldacci fan, I thought I had missed something in my first reading of “Hell’s Corner,” so I waded through this book a second time. The only thing different the second time through was the STUPID gunfire sound effects didn’t scare the wadding out of me. The rampant personal guilt trips...”It’s all my fault that so-and-so is...” were a tad much. This book was very disappointing!
"Easily my favorite in the series."
Absolutely. There are enough twists and turns to keep it interesting, the naration is fantastic, and it has well rounded characters.
Mary was just awesome. The ending left me holding my breath too. I can't wait for the next one.
They do all of these books and love them. She only really seems to have 3 character voices to draw from, but she does a nice job. Ron's British accent is tarrible, but it wasn't much of a detractor.
"Baldacci at his best"
It was good to see Oliver Stone and his crew back
The plot was well developed
Very easy to listen to
No idea
No
"May Not Be His Best"
Even though this book may not be his best, it is still pure Baldacci and a good read (or listen). It twisted and turned a lot (maybe too mch). I dd not care for the female narrator or the sound effects. But the suspense outweighs it all.
"My Man Oliver or is it John"
I love John Carr the character, but he dissappointed me a bit in this story. Maybe he is getting a bit long in the tooth to be as much fun to read/listen to. The story was interesting but a bit too convoluted for me. I didn't particularly like the characters except or course for the basic Oliver Stone gang.
"Lots of twists!"
Yes. Lots of twists and turns.
Absolutely. Kept revealing interconnected plots that were unexpected.
Brings the characters to life. Defines them extremely well.
Kept me interested but, no, I didn't laugh or cry.
I would definitely recommed this.
