Yes, its a refreshing concept and interesting to see how it plays out. Not a lot new though, i'm on the 3rd book now, waiting for something original - some more depth or growth in the characters or an interesting twist would be great.
Anyone that can do a less annoying british accent for Bones's characer
Tavia Gilbert is one of the best narrators I have ever had the pleasure to listen to.
The whole book was great and every interaction between Bones & Kat is memorable.
No extreme moments but there are moments that make you laugh out loud
Its a good listen with a bit of a different twist on vampires and the like.
This is fun for some brainless vampire/sex action. Lots of sex! Not greatly developed characters but the action moves along nicely.
I find her voice a little annoying and her inflections over the top, but you get used to her.
Very fun and light series. Perfect for multitasking. I will most definitely listen to them more than ones. However, the narration of Bones, is absolutely killing me. I hope in the future they will rerecord the book, or edit parts to bring a man like Phil Gigante to narrate male characters. Well... at least I hope they would rerecord Bones' lines. The accent by Tavia, actualy did not bother me at all.
I've never read the print version, but I'm actually going to buy the print version becase the audio version was so good.
I really can't realte this book to any other I've read/listened to. I do read and listen to many of this genre and I'd have to say this series is refreshingly origional.
Emotion. I can read a book and feel emitional about whats happening, cry, laugh, ect. but she reads with such passion, that it makes the experience that much beter.
Excellent book. Great Story. Wish I could come up with something like this.
i'm a romance's lice! i crawl all over it... :D
I love every minutes of it... in fact i'm re-listening to it now. Wow!
I'M IN LOVE WITH BONES! HE'S SO DANGEROUSLY HOT!
I love the Cat and Bones series. They're a quick listen I can't wait for the next book in the series comes out. The narrator Tavia Gilbert does a great job with the different accents of the many characters in the books. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked her narration but after listening to the first several chapters I was hooked.
I'm not a prude and the sex scenes in this book made me blush. Whew! The story can be a little awkward and forced at times. Some of the dialogue and characters actions seem cartoonish. But aside from that, the book is a lot of fun I would say in large part due to the narrator, who is amazing. I also quite like Bones, who I suspect is based on Spike, from Buffy.
Very high up. I just loved this book. Very good listen indeed.
When Cat confronts her father Max for the first time. I love how that played out.
Again, as in the first book, Bones was my favorite character. Tavia does a wonderful job with the cockney accent and her inflections are right on.
YES. Sadly, life gets in the way and it had to be broken up into multiple listens.
This is a great second installment in the Night Huntress series. It is even better (if that is at all possible) than the first book Tavia is THE BEST narrator of books. She goes the extra mile to give each and every character his/her own personality. She acts out the dialog just as if she WAS that person. If a character has just run a long way you can hear her breathing the way one would breathe is they had just run a long way. She is beyond fantastic.
