An interesting view inside radical Islam and their view of endtime theology. Great story interwoven.
Some odd voices chosen for female characters though.
I love Joel Rosenberg, and this story doesn't disappoint. It's a great action adventure with realistic middle east prognostication - in this case Iran. My only complaint is that it ended too abruptly.
No spoilers! Love HOT, sexy books w/a plot. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. I also review in exchange for books-lots of fun surprises!
This was a really intense and intriguing book. You have to follow very closely. If you let your mind wander AT ALL you will miss vital details to the story.
There is a lot of talk about Islam versus Christianity. America, Israel & Iran how ... the beginning and underlying story is a young boy, David and young girl, Marseilles whose families escaped Iran. The children are innocent, until the young boy, David, is told that he needs to be an agent, or is it double agent, for the USA. The young girl is out of the picture except for flashbacks from David.
He is raised as a Muslim but this is where I become confused. I don't know if his knowledge of Christianity came to him through dreams or real people at the right time.
I will give it a re-listen and probably continue with this series as it is very intriguing.
The narrator is great and professional.
Notes: Some strong language, violence
Credit worthy/$: Yes! I received this for less than $5 during an Audible in a First in the Series Promotion. But I can see myself using the credit for the next book and the entire series.

Thinking about Middle East current events? Wondering how we got here? Wondering about Islam? Rosenberg's book The 12th Imam is riveting. He weaves the story of several characters amidst eschatological politics and Western naïveté.
I am a former Christian who left the flock because the Shepards were having sexual with the lambs, living in castles and telling us they were Allah's appointed ones so we were not allowed complain.
I have lived in Saudi Arabia for 13 years but have not converted to Islam but rather just pray to God as I see the same dangerous 'us versus them' non peaceful ideology being professed.
I think therefore as an impartial witness that these scary stories which incidently the Nazis and North Koreans also tell to their children need to be seen for what they are
In this life we have 70 short years to show God we are worthy of Heaven. 70 years to ignore the Devil our own head and do enough good in this life. 70 years to live like Jesus, say the 99 names of Allah daily with reverence and hope that the scales will tip in our favour when we stand before our creator on judgement day.
The plot is quite good but the story is poorly researched to the extent it descends to anti Islam polemics. Also it depends miraculous events such as visions of Jesus which rapidly influence the most fanatical minds. Anyone who has had to deal with Moslem fanatics knows they are too dogmatic to be influenced by a vision of Jesus. The titles and references to the 12 Imam are incorrect and confused, the prophesies are invented and the designation as the Antichrist is definitely fundamentalist Christian polemics and is distasteful. Suggest better research to make the religious references more realistic.
Retired Marine just getting started in Audio Books! Just Love it! I hooked!
It starts out a little slow but becomes a little better. Not a bad book but I have to say, Lone survive and The Third Target are much much better!

Exceeded my patients. Use while I was on my way to work. Used often while I was biking. Had a great time with this.
