Not very believable, the plot relies on Jesus coming to convert devout Muslims to overturn the bad guys. And a Muslim anti-Christ as the bad guy is hard to swallow as well.
I tried to make it though the series, bout three, stopped listening at two.
The performance was just fine
There is one. I'm not going to listen
This book was fairly exciting there was some spy craft and gun fights and action. The main character was quite likable.
This is the first book in the series and it is not a standalone book as it doesn't have an ending it just stops. If you are not prepared to read the next book then don't bother reading this one.
This is a great tapestry of Middle East history, religious philosophy, and espionage all wrapped in a believable story that you don't want to stop listening to. Unfortunately, the narrator isn't adept at doing accents, and since the story requires several different mid-Eastern accents and a solid German female voice, his attempts were unsuccessful and grating. Luckily, the story made up for that flaw and I would recommend the novel to anyone who enjoys a good spy story.
The absolute best novel that I've read - or should I say, listened to - in a very long time. The story line was completely captivating, and the performance was brilliant! There was so much truth in this novel that its difficult to think of it as a work of fiction. It's more like history that just hasn't happened yet - but I have little doubt that it will.
The narration was a little weird for me. The story has spiritual themes that were unexpected. I enjoyed them, but wasn't prepared. I bought the next in the series and will be starting it right away. I like this writer and have great hopes for the next book.
