absolutely wonderfully put together.
David Strathairn did a wonderful job narrating this book.
I love Louis L'Amour,s style of writing. very poetic, never give up style of writing.
I still liked it but there was a lot of repeating of the same themes and it ended abruptly. I still liked it. brought back great memories. Makes me want to spend time in the mountains.
52, retired soldier and surgeon. Teach Combat Surgery and Military History and hold the rank of Brigadier. Lost wife, love dogs, ski to fast
I first read this story in Paper Back in the 70’s and it’s just as exciting and engaging in the car forty years on. Well written, crafted characters, good solid story telling at its best. And the subject matter is so clever and engaging. Still one of the best stories I have ever experienced. Really, it’s that good.
this is an awesome book I wish L'Amour had written a second book to complete the journey of joe's.. maybe someday someone will complete this story!
Very good audible could not stop listening to it ..
The whole book.
Wild and awesome adventure..
Great story of the old ways of indians in a modern world. If you enjoy woodsman, Wilderness, and frontier stories. This book is worth the read!
Even though it takes in modern times it has an old feel to it. This is a great book and done extremely well.
Good main character and perfect location for a story
The plot was kept at a good pace.
Makotozi was my favorite character.
David Strathairn did a fantastic job at reading the story
