audio books are Theater of the Mind when done right. They lift words from a page written by an author and transport you into another world
Niki duct taped to a chair and how she gets free and then kicks the bad guys ass. This showed how fast and how smart her Mind works and How strong of a women she truly is.
Not sure if I have, But I will in the future. Johnny did a great job. I really enjoyed his way of telling you this fun story.
I laughed in parts and felt the suspense like you were watching Castle on ABC Mondays at 10pm EST. Very well done book.
If you like Castle on TV, Then you will love this book. Very fun like the TV show.
Love the heroine Nicki Heat
Excellent reader - makes you there !
Good humor - unexpected in mysteries ! Nice touch !
If you like the show the book is very similar and just as fun.
The interaction between the characters
No, it was fun to come back to...
The narrator, Johnny Heller was great!
the scenes between nikki and roc.
he has a nice voice
If you love Castle on ABC, you'll like this series
Up near the top.
Envisioning the characters as those on the show "Castle".
Very clear and pleasant to listen to. He portrayed each "voice" so that it was obvious as to who was "speaking".
The book itself was a bit lengthy but I WAS entertained throughout it all.
I enjoy expanding on the TV seriew with these additional books. The characters have more depth, even though they are the fictional characters created by Richard Castle, who is a fictional character in the TV series.
If I am not reading I am listening to a story sometimes both.
If you had let the Rook character out of these books the stories would be just fine. What an arrogant A...hole. No woman would really let this jerk touch her..... I suppose because this is a male author he can make the woman do anything.......but nothing about this author's book is realistic.
All those with Rook in them
The writing is intelligent, witty and captures a sense of police culture which feels real to me. The dynamics between Rook and Heat are entertaining, and Roach are cool.
Heller is a great reader, giving real character to the voices.
It engages me constantly enjoying what's happening and wondering what's going to happen next.
I'm going to listen to the whole series for sure.
No, I made myself finish it since it was my first for this series and by this author. I tell people I am addicted to audio books and it is often hard for me to stop listening when I get to work and put it away...not this one. Maybe that's good.
I was very disappointed as I'm looking for a new series to dig my teeth (or ears) into.
No, not that their stories aren't good but it's very predictable, especially when compared to the series, which is saying a lot.
Yes, he makes you feel the characters, just not enough story to give feeling to.
No, what's left to find out?
