Laugh out loud funny in parts. A really enjoyable listen and all the better for being read by McIntyre himself. The only issue is the fact that he is only in his 30s therefore most of the story is from his very early life. But it is very funny particularly if you're a fan of his. maybe not as enjoyable if you're not a fan of his work / style given the heavy focus on his early life.
Michael although his life has contained tragedy has made this book one of the funniest i've read, he has a skill with humour and is able to tickle any sense of humour, his honesty of his skills only makes it better.
"Laughing aloud on the daily commute!"
MM's mission with book - as well as in his chosen profession - is to make you laugh! And make you laugh out load, if those strange looks cast my way on the train to work are any indication! Not only funny, this book is also poignant - the way he describes his relationship with his father and grandmother reveal much about the man and his writing skill, as well as as his delivery as the narrator. And this mix of the funny/poignant also extended to his comedic beginnings, apprenticeship and finally mastering his craft. No lulls to speak of and was bloomin' annoyed when the book ended - well it had to at some point! Apart from this momentary re annoyance, you're left feeling uplifted and wanting to know what happened next. Can't wait for next installment of the memoirs :-)
"Hilarious, way surpassed my expectations"
Even after reading all the glowing reviews for this audiobook I had not been expecting it to be anywhere near as funny or as interesting as it was. I was worried I'd regret not buying the book (and missing out on the pictures I know it includes) but Michael McIntyre really brings it to life in a way that I hadn't been expecting and his impressions alone are worth getting the audiobook! He evens adds extra bits and keeps some "outtakes" in if you are into that kind of thing. To be honest, even if you find him annoying normally (as I often do) I think this will still be horrendously entertaining, and it certainly made me like and respect him a lot more. If you are considering getting it, go for it, you won't be disappointed!
"life & laughing; my story (Michael mc Intyre)"

"Life and Laughing: My Story"
i've fallen in love with this lovely, open, honest, warm and funny man, I'm not sure that his personality in all it's glory isn't the best thing about him, but oh, how funny he is too... both are inextricably linked... he has all those personality traits which allows his humour to flow through over these jewels.
Loved this book, love that man!
(and i'm not Charlotte Church!)
"Such a funny book"

"Don't read this book... listen"
I'm sure all those who read this book will not have enjoyed it as much as those who have it read to them by the author... brilliant
