I thought Obama was a closet Marxist, but D'Souza explains it better. Obama is living his fathers dream. His father was an Anti Colonialist/Imperialist with Marxist leanings and his mission was to fight the British Empire. Anti Colonialism is not well understood in the US (it is weel understood in the rest of the world), so Obama can follow in his father's footsteps without arousing suspicion. His hidden agenda is to achieve equality for the ex colonies by reducing the power and influence of ex imperial powers like Great Brittan, France as well as the US empire. So Obama's domestic and foreign policies are often puzzling, but well explained by D'Souza.
Yes. It is full of interesting facts and the writer's style is very conversational.
Many facts about the president that our press failed to uncover that leads to a plausible explanation for the president's decisions.
Easy to listen to with comfortable tempo. His use of inflection communicates a reasonable level of emotion through out the book.
The president's father was a Kenyan who believed 100% tax could be justfied if it was beneficial to programs he supported.
This should be a must read for every voter and every American. It explains much of the seemingly irrational behavior and agenda of Obama. We need to know this man that has so much power over all of us and wants to have so much more. Be scared, or be prepared--either way, you need to remove your head from the sand and get informed!
Doing the job that the mass media failed during the 2008 election, Dinesh brings to light several events in Obama's life which provide a picture of who Obama is, and what his core beliefs are. Dinesh's theory sounds a little outlandish at first but its well supported as you progress through the book. It's frighting to think what Obama would do with another 4 years. I'm a republican, but after reading this book, I'd vote for Hillary Clinton any day of the week if it would replace Obama in the Oval Office.
I thought it was good overall.
This book is well researched and builds its explanation logically and methodically.
I first read Dinesh D’Souza's book, Godforsaken and it strengthened my faith and answered many questions for me as a Christian. I was hesitant to read a "political hit job book" on Obama, but decided D'Souza would not take that approach given my experience reading Godforsaken.I was correct. Excellent book. Dinesh D’Souza's explanation of Obama's motivations and world view explain what I thought was once unexplainable.
Discovering the power a father has over a son - the importance of feeling loved by one's father.
Important, reveling, Interesting
Depends on the topic
Well read but not performed
Hardly the topic to make you either laugh or cry, but it does elicit an emotional response of incredulity or despair depending on your point of view.
Interesting facts, based on his own writings, about what motivates the president, which is important to know to understand the direction he is leading the country, and as he has been reelected where the USA society could ultimately end up.
It is easier for me to listen than read
To find out the truth
An excellent book
This is a great book in explaining the motivation of such a powerful, yet not well known individual. It makes total sense. This is my third Dinesh D'Souza book and he explains complex ideas in manageable and even funny ways, with a lot of knowledge to behind them. That's no small achievement.
Yes - I would recommend this book to any friend who cares about this country and is interested in really understanding what is at stake in the current presidential election. If you saw 2016, here are more details. If you missed the movie, this is your chance to get the facts.
Absence of outrageous opinion and the presence of objective facts.
Packed with captivating tidbits from start to finish.
This book may make you sick, but it is medicine that you need to take.
