Do it, you won't be bummed you spent the money or credits.
Completely funny, entertaining, insightful & told very, very well! I wish others I purchased could come even close to this!
In this category. One of the top 3.
The Joe Pesci, De Nero chapters, when he is sharing his experience with SNL and the Jo Pesci Show. A close second is when he tells his story about actually getting invited to audition and then lands his gig on SNL.
He does so many great impersonations but his comic interpretation of Jo Pesci is the most hilarious!
I loved all the references to coincidences, kismet or divine intervention, throughout his life. There is a thread that runs through the book regarding his belief in a greater power and for me, it made it all the more fun to read.
I was never bored while listening to this book. Many stories made me laugh out loud, especially because he impersonates so many celebrities and characters, which made it all the more hilarious. You don't want to read the book, you really need to listen to it. It just wouldn't be the same.
Jim Brewer's stand up is something to see. His days on SNL were historically funny. To here his first hand take on Hollywood and showbiz is an honor. Jim does a great job with this book. I you read it in paperback I would say you're actually doing yourself an injustice. Listening to him tell stories about his peers and use his impersonations is not something you get from paper, as well as the side bar comments. Hands down my favorite performance of an audio book yet.
Yes, This was a great story to read and laugh to
Less on the god stuff.
His comic and stand up
Loved it will read again
Jim Breuer himself he seem honest and open
Laugh a lot
Showed me side of Breuer that surprised me. Comes across as a very caring dad and thoughtful husband. Doesn't hide his flaws and shows a very human side. Very, very entertaining especially because of the voices of the characters that he is able to imitate. Loved this audio book.
