This will change your entire life. Seriously. Amazing what you are able to do and the power you have to change your world as well as others for the better.
I'm sure the information in this book was very very useful and inspiring but, the way it was read didn't motivate me at all. From listening to this book I'm not sure I even know half of the things in it. Might have to go pick it up and read it myself
excelente libro, muy recomendado a personas que quieren un mundo mejor. hay que empezar por la felicidad de cada uno. ver una perspectiva diferente de las situaciones
I loved everything about this book. This was the first book that I selected from audible without knowing anything about the author or the book. I loved the stories and real life example discussed throughout. I am also glad the author read it, he is quite witty. I have already been telling my friends about what I have learned and can't wait to listen to it again. Thanks Shawn for sharing your experiences and studies with us.
The Happiness Advantage had many great, easy to follow tips. Some things in this book are common sense, but it is nice to be reminded. Although this book is focused on happiness and success at work, there are many things that can help you in your personal life. I've been taking an online Shawn Achor course through Oprahs website which is excellent and I highly recommend that course for anyone looking for happiness help in all aspects of life. The Happiness Advantage is great overall; I think it should have been read by someone else (Shawn was not terrible by any means though) and also think some of the stats (the book is based on years of research so be prepared for a lot of stats) were a bit far fetched. Worth listening to and I have recommended the book to my Human Resources department. :)
I like Audiobooks
Yes, much better... there is a feeling you get on the Audibook that you wont be able to get by reading.
Shawn Achor presents positive psychology research in a fascinating and digestible way. His sense of humour peppered throughout the book just makes it that much more enjoyable.
His examples of what people typically do to themselves and how they can change things for the better for themselves give hope and empowerment.
