This is probably a book better read than listened to. The writing was quite poor and the story line predictable - this is essentially "sleeping with the enemy".

Great story! Kept me going the whole time. I didn't want to stop listening. Narrator does the characters well, not cheesy.

Only the middle was somewhat interesting, exploring the psychopathic detective husband. Beginning was pathetic and ending, well insulting. Will not read from this author again.

So I usually for a a bit 'heavier' plot but wanted something just for pure entertainment. I admit - I loved this book! I wanted to listen to it all the time - every short car ride, while cleaning house, and it definitely got me out the door for more walks with my iPod. Story hooks you right away and when I thought it was fairly predictable, it had a little twist at the end. Highly recommend if you want some wonderful brain candy.

I have read several of Nicholas Sparks novels, and loved this one as much as or more than his others. Someone told me they didn't like it because it was so different from his others. Why should an author fit into one cookie cutter style?

Safe Haven is still a love story, like all his others, but the characters have such depth and the conflict feels so real that you can't put it down until you are sure that all is well. As soon as I was finished I went back to the beginning to skip through to certain parts. That's when I know it's a really good and clever story.

Also, the narrator is very good and you truly feel the emotion pouring out of her.

As always very good! Sparks never disappoints me! I always love his little unexpected twists!

A lil slow in the begining but make no mistake, this book will capture your interest as it progresses, it keeps you in suspense but still has that romance in the read. Good book.

The book had merits for the journey out of an abusive situation and the strength of courage it takes to start over, great story line there. The stalking husband was a bit much, I didn’t finish it.

I've not read/listened to Nicholas Sparks before and was pleasantly surprised. Suspenseful through out, Sparks is adept at developing the characters and relationships and while somewhat cliche and predictable, I loved the book. Looking for another to download now!!!

This story was good, but the narrator was excellent. She really made it worthwhile.
