this was a treat to have the author read it himself. His patriotism to the nation is duly noted for helping to inform the people our misrepresenting political parties aka Republicans and Democrats are traitors. This should be taught in schools.
Interesting, SHOCKING and maddening.
How long the government's been messing with the truth and how bad it's gotten as the federal government has increased it's own power.
I've not, but I don't think he's gotten any other books on Audible. I listen to him at the Mises Institute and other times when he's been a guest speaker. I find him very interesting as a serious constitutional scholar.
No matter what political party affiliation, this will drive one to drink or go off grid. It does make one a bit more of an activist against government overreach-all types-military, civil liberties, etc.
This books gives facts that will make you aware just how you and I have been tricked and mislead throughout our lives. Because we must know the truth. The lies go back to the early days of the American experiment. We all must know the truth or be led like fools or sheep down the road that is false. We Americans are not so foolish and this books makes it very clear what the truth is. If you are one of the People and care about our future and the future of your children and this nation then take this book and learn from it. What we do counts, what we know when it's the truth can only make us wiser to make better choices and decisions. The judge is a man who loves his fellow Americans and his nation, he gives us the facts without any pussy footing. It's too bad our government has to lie and there is no excuse.
War is a Racket because it has the truth for us to see and know.
What Every American Should Know.
Get this book and encourage everybody you know to read it if not talk about it with everyone including young people.
A fantastic book with an engrossing performance / read by the Judge. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to anyone reading this review.
The audio book title sets the hook of curiosity. As the hearer progresses from one topic to the next, thoughts like "WOW! what can be next?" spurs the intensity of desire to not stop but proceed to the next topic.
The sheer number of examples of lies perpetrated by the Government that the Judge documents is overwhelming. He covers a lot of material, and has done a masterful job organizing and concisely addressing each topic.
The Judge organized the narrative into 17 topics which greatly facilitated absorbing the range and depth of thoughts. He covers a tremendous amount of information and ideas.
The length of the performance is long, which was unavoidable given the subject matter. The Judge kept the narrative moving and interesting with voice inflections, etc.
The above headline is by no means a criticism of the book. If the trend toward big-Government continues, then the examples the Judge presents while appalling will be tame. This is a must-listen/read for everyone that seeks to be an better informed Citizen.
This is by far one of the best books i've listened to.
The Judge is the only character and he reads the book great. Very enthusiastic.
His enthusiasm really gets you into the story.
Everyone in America Should Read This.
I have always been a fan of Andrew Napolitano and look forward to his analysis of current events. Unfortunately, this was not a very good book. It is rare that I have to stop listening to a book before the end. In this case, the story lines were all over the place and not presented in a compelling or spellbinding manner. I would definitely listen to other books of Napolitano's because of my respect for him. This one was just too abstract.
Crazy Dog Lady
This is one of the most interesting ones I have listened to, and the first political audio book I have done.
One of the most memorable parts of the book was finding out that the part about "Innocent until proven guilty" was illustrated with a case I had read a book about, and that the impression that book left me with was not the whole truth!
I liked his narrating, especially because his passion for the topic comes through. That might not be the same with another narrator.
It is amazing how much of what one is taught in American History classes misses, as I found out with this audio book. Things that I took for granted as "fact" turn out to not be true. If you have an interest in history and politics, this book will make you think!
