This is by far one of the best books i've listened to.
The Judge is the only character and he reads the book great. Very enthusiastic.
His enthusiasm really gets you into the story.
Everyone in America Should Read This.
I have always been a fan of Andrew Napolitano and look forward to his analysis of current events. Unfortunately, this was not a very good book. It is rare that I have to stop listening to a book before the end. In this case, the story lines were all over the place and not presented in a compelling or spellbinding manner. I would definitely listen to other books of Napolitano's because of my respect for him. This one was just too abstract.
Crazy Dog Lady
This is one of the most interesting ones I have listened to, and the first political audio book I have done.
One of the most memorable parts of the book was finding out that the part about "Innocent until proven guilty" was illustrated with a case I had read a book about, and that the impression that book left me with was not the whole truth!
I liked his narrating, especially because his passion for the topic comes through. That might not be the same with another narrator.
It is amazing how much of what one is taught in American History classes misses, as I found out with this audio book. Things that I took for granted as "fact" turn out to not be true. If you have an interest in history and politics, this book will make you think!
Interesting read. I'm going to look into some of the historial items he lists as facts considering that they are not accepted as facts by most in this country. If they are facts then my mind has been blown a few times in this book. I really like Napolitano's takes though and that he's not afraid to trash either party.
Excellent eye opener!
Kept my attention the whole time i was listening.
Didnt want to turn it off!
Filled with eye opening details, makes you think, shocking, have to listen to it again!!
Why the average man should become a libertarian.
After listening to this book, as a conservative Republican......I will change my voter registration to Libertarian.

The Historical Overview.
Both Parties are Liars!
The author is not afraid to hit both Rep and Dems. Bush and Obama are laid bare and it is shocking.
I should have known this was going to be a bad one after listening to the introduction by Ron Paul. To say there are numerous flights into fantasy here would be an understatement.
One example alone is the 2000 presidential election. To hear Judge Napolitano tell it you would think the Supreme Court hijacked the Presidential election for their own gain. Those of us that were there, covering it day after day as it happened, know it was much more simple then that. The Supreme Court of the United States simply told the Florida Supreme court to obey their own law. They added an admonishment that the Florida court cannot simply make it up as they go along.
This one was a waste of money. I've heard the Judge give interviews on Fox News. It is not certain what happened to the judge that gave those interviews and thoughts when he composed this work.
Well I think I did notice the TITLE. The book is great for what it promises but it is too american and lots of legal refernces to my liking. If you are not american or really involved dont buy it. However I DID LISTEN TO IT.
To hard core americans who argue abt the perfect world YES. To everyone else maybe no.
War on terror.
Not really it is too disconnected.
Again good book if do not assume to be anything besides the title. A mistake that I did.
This book was very informative. But I couldn't help but think that some of what the judge calls lies are simply different versions of history. He disagrees with many Supreme Court decisions. Don't we all? The judge is free to say what he wants because most of the people he criticizes are not able to give their version of events. But, to be fair, most books are that way; feeding their target audience. He calls Lincoln a "tyrant." Many people called him that; he was not all that popular while he was in office. But if all tyrants were like Lincoln I could deal with it in a time of serious crisis. He believes FDR provoked the Japanese into war so American would fight in Europe. I can see how he feels that way. I have wondered the same thing myself. But what would the world be like if we had not stopped Hitler? His criticism of the Japanese internment during WW2 was like all of it is: anachronistic. I was afraid he was going to say that 9-11 was an inside job but he didn't. I would have sent the book back if he had said that. If everyone in the country felt as strongly as the judge does about our government Washington would have a lot to answer for. The government manipulates people. It is happening as I write this and most people are happy with it. Call me jaded and cynical. What else is new?
