I love a good EJD book but this one was simply boring to me. I kept listening with hopes of it getting better but it didn't. Just boring from begining, middle, to end for me.
It took forever to get to the point of it all but once it got there, I think it made sense. I'm a little confused at the ending and will have to listen to it again.
No. The main character has the morals of a saint but is so easily corrupted and then seems to lose it by seeing and talking to ghosts......totally unbelievable.
Loved the Gideon series and so far, none of this authors other work has come close.
I'm a big fan of most of Dickey's work - especially the Gideon series of novels. If you're looking for more of that type - this book definitely not one to recommend. The narration is great as usual, but the story is way to slow with sporadic action mostly late in the book, and the characters are..... (odd choice of word here but fitting)....irritating. Main character is a morally mixed up whining sap. Listened to the whole book but can't say that I enjoyed it.
It was too slow. I love the voice of Dion Graham, and I love Mr. Dickey. This one just didn't keep my attention.
This book was not what I expected from Mr. Dickey. It was really slow and I found it hard to get into. I have to agree with the some of the other reviews...it was a waste of a credit. If it is availble at the library I would get it from there and save a credit.
This book was just ok, it took me forever just to listen to it because it just did not keep my attention. The ending was ok but the book was just BLAHHHH to me.
