I enjoyed this book will read it again the kidnapping is a bit weak and you can find fault but I loved this story set in the Australian outback and 3-4 weeks after reading this book Im still thinking about it:-))
Actually, it is Jennifer, not Michael. I enjoy a variety of books but am drawn to romantic historical fiction with a Christian message.
This book was very entertaining but I felt like it just stopped. There was no ending, all these unanswered questions and it is over. The author just leaves so much to your own imagination. I felt disappointed and wanted at least another chapter.
This book kept my attention and the narrator read beautifully. It was just the right length and probably would have become tedious if it was any longer. It did get me thinking about the relationship between captor and captive.
A more interesting storyline
The excruciatingly slow pace
Had to stop listening since podcasts are a million times more interesting
Yes...the story was wonderful. It kept you hooked from the beginning. It was enticing with the mixed emotions that it gave you throughout the story...just like Gemma's feelings! The word pictures were beautiful~ painting the views and the feelings so wonderfully. I was really sad to see it end and hope to hear more about these characters!
I was so surprised because I knew so little about the story line. I don't want to give anything away! If I told you may favorite part it would give some fo that away.
I love her voice and how she sounds like I think Gemma would sound. I never had to focus to ignore the voice to hear the story~ her voice IS gemma's.
Ty~ thought provoking contradictions in what you expect of him.
It was slow paced and boring until the end. I just wanted to hurry up and get to the end
I got really bored with the fact that most of this book took place in the same location. I couldn't quite picture the place and kept drifting off while I was trying to listen to the book, because the whole middle just seemed like the same thing over and over.
The ending was stronger than I expected.
Nothing happens in this book. Nothing. She gets kidnapped, and the kidnapper does nothing of any interest to her other than just keep her around for company. In a non-exciting Australian desert in the middle of nowhere. Maybe after the first 4 hours of droning on and nothing happening, something exciting may have happened. I wouldn't know because I couldn't take anymore of it and just skipped to the last 45 minutes to at least know how it ended. Worst waste of credit ever.
No one. It really would have made no difference.
All of them.
Did I mention how awful this book is?
just a little bit of reality
no I didn't love it at all
maybe ok for someone else, just wasn't for me
