Loved it! Hope they make movies out of all 3 books. I could not stop listening, would go out to my car on 15 minute breaks to listen. Narration for all 3 books is great. You won't be disapointed!!
Teacher and mom of 2 kids, Lila-4 and John-1.
I love how Mockingjay expanded on the first two stories in ways I could never have imagined.
I don't usually pick the main character as my favorite, but if I am to be honest, I'd say Katniss is my favorite. I love how complex she is. Her decisions really twist the plot!
Parts of this book were very gory. I was a bit surprised. Some scenes in the last section of the book really made my stomach turn. Collins sure isn't afraid to kill characters off, even very unlikely characters.
I thought this book wrapped up the series very nicely. I was happy with the ending, and I'm very picky about endings.
I love to read. So, Audible has given me a chance to "read" when I normally couldn't. I really enjoy it.
It was a great ending to the trilogy
That the good guys won
When Peter and the Mockingjay ended up together
Mocking Jay was just disorganized. It went fast and then slow and slow parts were really slow. Did no hold my inerest at all like the first of the two series. Just all over ther place but had to read to finish the series.
The thoughtfulness of the ending.
The world revolves around Katniss, especially since she is the voice of the novel.
No, but I will look into other books she has read.
The rebels storm the... oh wait I think Return of the Jedi already took that.
I couldn't stop listening until it was done.
This profile is under my husband's name since Audible merged with Amazon. So just call me Bob. Or wife of Bob. Or the reader in the family. Whatever.
I love this story, love the characters, highly, highly recommend. Not a huge fan of the narrator, but she's ok. I only wish it was a 6 book series..I would buy them all.
I was in my shop... crying... I wasn't creating beautiful things for brides and crying! But a happy cry you know the kind! I read the first book saw the movie then thougth I would listen to the others while I worked. Great YA books. There was a few parts that shocked me. I really didn't see it coming and I always think I know what is coming!
This book was kind of bittersweet throughout. But I rank it with the books that I will reread again and again.
The end was sort of abrupt for me. There is a definite ending so don't worry about loose ends, but I just thought there would be a little bit more. Overall, the series was a good one, the odds never seemed to be in favor for the characters but it was suspenseful.
The Hunger Games story is well advanced by the time you start reading/listening to Mockingjay. It's a brutal story, with characters you've grown to care about being subjected to horror after horror. And that pretty well continues all the way through, ending with a slight glimmer of redemption. I wanted a little more sunshine, a little less carnage.
This is my least favorite in the series, though as somebody who needs closure, I had to finish the story. It would be very hard to stop after the first or second book.
She does a fine job.
Pray the world doesn't fall subject to despotic power mongers.
I only purchased the audio version of all three books.
Katniss, of course. She was human in a very real and compassionate way. She revealed all of the insecurities most of us feel as well as the bravery born of love.
Too many to list!
The Hunger Games Trilogy is not a genre I would normally be interested in, but I was thoroughly enthralled right from the beginning of book one until the end of book three.
