I loved all of it so I gave it 5 stars. I loved the blood oath celebration the most
While it has moments of greatest much of this book remains incredibly boring, though I've found it much more enjoyable in audio than in print.
The performance is generally quite good, although Eragon's voice sounds almost identical to Roran's, a and the dragons are nearly indistinguishable as well.
I've listened to this e-book several times! it gets better each time! I highly recommend it to anyone who like a great story!
Eldest: The Inheritance Cycle Book 2 picks up right where the first book in the series, Eragon, left off. We found the Audible version to be an exciting listen. There were a few too many battles and too little romance for my taste, but my husband loved it. It’s definitely a good story. Paolini seems to be developing as a writer. We liked it enough to immediately go on to Book 3, Brisingr. Definitely a good listen!
I love this book and the narrator was good but I though his voices were off a little. Especially Saphira's because she is supposed to be a girl and he does his voice really deep.
Likes: Cozy mysteries (cats a plus), personal memoirs, not too dark fantasy, books about the brain. Dislikes: Torture, animal cruelty.
You wouldn't even be thinking of reading this if you hadn't enjoyed Eragon, so I won't go on about how that book borrows so heavily from other books in the genre. I will just say that I particularly like this installment of the series in which Eragon goes to the elves for training and Rorin becomes a major character.
