The voice character they hired for moses and Joshua in the old testament, "which reads most of gen, exo, Lev, deut, num, and josh" sounds like he's stifling angry the whole time when he talk about God. Its horrible. I can't listen anymore.
Yes i will over and over again. this is a must have for every christian. it help those who have difficulty in reading the bible. i am glued to my bible.
The story is told distinctly and dramatically at a rate where you can listen and hear without having to move swiftly replaying back saying "what did he say?".
You feel as if you were there.
"Hear the Word of God come to life".
So far so good. I like the benefit of listening to positive Word while I work on my computer. And not just my computer but my phone also. Thank you actors and actresses.
This audio bible is great. If your looking to make it through the entire bible without getting bored buy this version. It is performed as if almost watching a movie but of course there are no visuals. There were some parts in the beginning where the characters over played their roles but you either get use to it or they get better as they go. It wasn't enough to be bothersome to me just makes you think overplayed for a second. Additionally this is more a version of the bible for making it through the entire book, if your looking to go to exact versus, chapters, books etc. its not organized in such a way to do so.
That it was actually a performance of the Bible and not just a bland reading. The voices, music, and sound effects made for an amazing experience.
For some reason, the voice of the main angel really caught my attention. A very soothing and calm tone that was just engrossing. And it goes without saying. God and Jesus were outstanding.
Something about a British accent that keeps your attention. His narration was brilliant and flawless.
While it would have been nice to, it's too long and thought-provoking to consume in one sitting.
Get this audio book!
The listening part is wonderfull, the influxes of the voices, the accompaning gentle music, and variable speed makes it easy to listen. If you like listening from one book of the bible to the other without the care of wanting to go to a specific part of the bible, it is great.
The background music and unhurried speed makes it a great listening experience.
The influxes of the voice makes it come alive.
No, because it is too long of a book to put into a single movie.A lot of details and therefore messages would be lost.
The important missing part is being unable to quickly find a certain book of the bible. Just starting out as a returned Christian, this is not easy to study with. I am almost wondering if it was worth purchasing it.
I just did not enjoy an audio bible as much as I thought I would. This is still a good narration an deserves higher but audible is making me give 2 stars so I can get my credit back.i enjoy a narration of the bible, not actors that influence the message I am trying to receive.
Voices are such and read slow enough that you can imagine and also meditate on His Word while listening.
I cannot tell which audio has which book of the bible. That has been only problem with me. I now got printout from Audible that says which one has which book of the bible.
Christian, middle-school teacher, horse lover and rider, grandmother, love America, hate getting old, pretty good cook.
I like this ok, but the voices of some of the characters are pretty lame...especially Moses, never even got to Jesus!
It makes the Bible more of a story with music (which is sometimes distracting) and sound effects (which are sometimes dumb).
