Reading while listening to this greatly aids my study. Being able to pause and read early church commentary from the Orthodox study bible makes for a good experience. Glad this was recommended to me.
I have this set in CD format which is great because each CD has the chapters of the Bible on them, here you just select the audio number on the audio book. It would be great if each part of the selection would have the chapters of the Bible.
The inspiring words of the Bible come alive with the most professional reading and sound you could ever experience. I enjoy listening and meditating in these great words of wisdom and receive a great blessing every time.
This is my very favorite audible Bible. I listened to it several years ago and loved it and just now put it on my iPhone. It still gives me the same sense of peace, excitement, joy and anticipation that I felt years before.
Not knowing what the Holy Spirit uses for each individually, I would recommend the Word of Promise Audible Bible for everyone who is seeking a deeper relationship with God - knowing Him, understanding Him, loving Him more - to listen and see if the Holy Spirit uses it for you as He has done for me.
The performances are excellent, and the music and audio track are compelling.
In publishing a complete Bible, it's incomprehensible why you would not allow listeners to search, even by BOOK. No one listens to the entire Bible from beginning to end.
Proud Canadian who loves Jesus, Dogs, Country Music, Lilacs, Gregory Peck movies and audio-books with a HEA.
This was very well performed.
I understand that as a CD version, a 17 part set was more practical. As a digital release, it would have been nicer to have each book of the Bible on it's own. It would have made navigation much easier.
5 star listening experience would be if I could actually listen to the entire book on my iPod. This book is 98 hrs long and in one file. After approx 25 hrs the book stops playing on iPod. Maybe if this was broken down into 4-6 files it would work. Very disappointed.
Please break this file down into multiple parts so that it will play better on iPod.
yes and no. Yes because you get to hear the word of God. No because I like being able to go to a specific book and chapter easili
