I think how you are really able to see through the eyes of the woman who has been abducted. Good ending.
The lead character.
I loved Angela Dawe in psy-changling series. This one wasn't as good but she is still great.
I almost stopped listening very early on thinking it was going to degenerate into some kind of macho torture porn fantasy. Instead it is a deeply felt examination of human emotions that kept me up far too late. I literally could not sleep until her story had been told. I ended up listening to several sections again over the course of several days because the characters actions were so thought provoking, surprising, emotionally wrenching and yet completely believable.
Professional with a long commute. I listen in the car and it eases the stress of traffic.
I probably would not
Finding out who caused the events.
I have not. Nothing to compare to.
I was in tears while listening. Not the best while driving. Very moving story!
I don't know, but my guess is that it would be, because of the reader's ability to convey realistic emotion.
When Annie was first abducted and woke up on the cabin.
When Annie killed her abductor.
No; I like breaking it up.
This was a very entertaining book from start to finish. If you like suspense, it's a really good choice.
I really appreciated the performance, and enjoyed it as much, if not more, than reading the book.
The heroine was so "real".
She actually made the characters come to life for me.
the suspense from the first chapter through the last.............
'Gone Girl', another listen you cannot put down..
Annie O'Sullivan, of course
how strong the maternal instinct is under any circumstances and the absence of this instinct under the stronnger basal emotion of selfishness and greed.
It is well known that the profession of realtors is the most dangerous legal profession in the world........................
When you realized who was a part of her kidnapping.
No this was the first one.
I found that just when I thought I had it figured out there was a new twist that kept me wanting to listen to more.
Angela did a good job of playing a character that had so much emotion and who had gone through so much.
There was a moment when she is talking about her baby and when she talked about the duck that I was very moved and really felt her anguish and anger.
I definitely would/will listen to Still Missing again. The twists and turns and .... 'no really???' moments moved this book from another predictable suspence novel to a very good, edge of your seat, read.
Don't turn your back ....
Story line, characters, emotion envoking, and narrator all come together in this audio. I didn't want to stop listening for any reason. There were several times I reacted to what was going on, either with a jerk, anger, or a tear. It has been awhile since a book has done that and I think the author, for a first time writer has done an amazing job. The narration was spot on and made the book even more compelling. You can't miss with this one. Highly recommend.
