"Alltogether Wonderful!"
Both the book content itself and the narrators voicing of the characters was spot on. I can't wait for the next installment as I've got this one nearly memorized. I HIGHLY recommend!

"Fun Book!"
I truly enjoyed this book. I think I really like these Victorian fantasies/ Steampunk. I guess I don’t know that I’ve read steampunk before but if this is what it is I’m all for it.
I loved Alexia she is strong, independent, feisty, a great character and I look forward to more of her. She is a preternatural which means she was born without a soul but that doesn’t mean she has no feelings what it does mean is she has some control over the supernatural beings. I liked the whole hierarchy of the wolves and vampires and Queen Victoria of England. The romance part of this book was so fun because of the era this is set in it made it all the better.
I don’t know what else to say about this book other than if you like werewolves, vampires or Victorian era fantasy read this book! You’ll be glad you did!
Emily Gray does a great job at the narration and really makes this book come to life!
"I loved this book!"
This novel was original and made me laugh. I loved the characters, and the manner in which the author wove the underworld and the "daylight society" together to create her version of Victorian London. Her writing was fluid and witty. She even built in some Victorian hang-ups for the werewolf and vampire set. The characters were especially engaging, with clever dialog. I thoroughly enjoyed the blatant stereotypes because we were all in on the joke. Because she doesn't take herself so seriously, any lapses could be forgiven, even relished. A bit of sex thrown in for added spice. A very clever novel made even better by the flawless narration of Emily Grey, who alternated between drama and dryness as called for, and gave each character a unique voice. Everyone needs to bug Audible for the next installments. Write in and demand more!
"What a great fun book, I am addicted to them."
What a great fun book about romance and a very strong woman who can figure it all out and still keep a strong man interested!! I am on her 3rd book breathless and can hardly wait for her 4th, coming soon!
"Delightful!"
I couldn't stop listening! This book was fantastic - I really hope that Audible picks up the rest of the series! (hint, hint)
I have been a member of Audible since the mid 90's. I love the format and have listened to hundreds of books. With the new I-Phone version, I can take my stories everywhere with me. Thank you so much for this great service.
"Just Plain Fun"
I was a little burned out on crime novels and ran across this one. It is a treasure. I found myself laughing out loud as I drove to work and could not wait to start it up on the way home. Romance, Love, Wherewolfs, Vampires and all during Queen Victoria's time. The whole story takes the mythology to a new and very pleasant level. Enjoy the listen
"couln't get into it..."
I loved the idea of the book...I listened for 2 hours and thought..if it hasn't grabbed me by now it's not going to....
"Sookie Stackhouse with a parasol"
This book could be Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood series) went thru a time warp and stepped out in the 19th century, and her southern accent was replaced with an upper crust english accent. Haven't decided if I want to continue the series, just as in TB this book has sex scene that just really are not necessary to the story.
"Simply Horrible!"
I decided to give this book a try based on the positive reviews. What a waste of time and credit this purchase was! I personally had to force myself to listen to the first half and just "tossed in the towel" when it came time for the second half. I found the story to be so boring and over all juvenile! I am a fan of such authors as Stephen King and Anne Rice but I have also enjoyed the The Twilight Series and The Vampire Diaries. So please understand when I use the word "juvenile" I am in reference to the authors choice of words and over all construction of the book. As far as the narrator I feel bad saying this but her voice was irritating! Which for me is very odd since I find most British accents to be soothing. I do not know if that is her "normal" reading voice or if she is "acting". This is the first book I have ever purchased from this author and this narrator. Considering all; it will be my last.
