Romance with Dogs
The mystery portion was a bit weak.
Not Nora Roberts' best but not her worst. Was entertaining and I really enjoyed the dog training parts.
Doubtful. I was really quite bored with this book. I didn't appreciate some of the language either, especially the F word.
A Harlan Coben mystery
I didn't have a favorite scene, but I guess it's always good to catch the bad guy.
There were way too many scenes about the training of dogs, to the point that I felt this was more of an education tool about making your pet behave than a murder mystery novel. I am not really a dog lover, so it just wasn't for me.
Some of the other reviews mentioned a lot of suspense, but it just did not captivate me. I felt it dragged. I just can't highly recommend it.
I've listened to Tanya Eby before, and I like her. But I think that her reading of this book really increased my enjoyment of the story over all. I like Nora Roberts as a general rule, but sometimes her books can get predictable, especially if you've read more than a handful! But, Tanya Eby's reading really made the characters for me. I could really picture them in my head because she made them each so individual.
The story itself was good, and the characters pretty well fleshed out. Also, I'm a sucker for the reluctant hero, so Simon was my favorite character. :) The dogs were adorable, too, and pretty fleshed out characters themselves.
Overall an enjoyable story, but more so an excellent listen!
Well the two main characters. I enjoyed the budding romance that was taking place during some trouble times.
The Romance that was happening that both did NOT really intend to happen but they were an interesting couple, I enjoyed immensely.
The entire book moved me, nothing in particular stood out.
Fia was my favorite character. The story shows how she appears to others at the beginning, comforting reassuring, then goes into why she is that way today, that she is a survivor, not a victim. How overcoming being captured by and then fleeing a serial killer, who took his revenge ( or though she thought) on her by killing her Fiance and his dog. But has his mentor begins the revenge process through a proxy. The horror of it all starts all over again. The story leads you through her ups and downs as she falls in love with a wood artist, Simon Doyle and must slowly give up her independence because of Perry's wish for revenge through his Protege Echo. All other characters play into this twist of events, including the dogs as the story grows.
No, a good performance, although there are other's I prefer. I had difficulty catching which of the different characters she was performing.
Is he after her again?
Excellent story line, well researched to make the charactors and their vocations very believable.
Avid audio book listener with over 1600 books in my library!
I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this book. The story line was great! First time reading Nora Roberts but with that said I have read/listened to all of her JD Robb books. I will definitely read more of Nora!
No, I don't read books more than once.
Yes, definitely. I never knew what would happen next. It was gripping.
No, but will search for more books narrated by her.
Not really but thoroughly enjoyed it.
love to read, but very little time. very interested in mysteries, drama, and romance, as well as murder mysteries,
This audio was time well spent because there was constant suspense throughout the story
The ending eas somewhat predictable.
The pace of the narration did match the story. But the Voice of the narrator did not match all of the charactors in the story.
The way that the main character was able to fight back and have a normal life.
She was a fighter
Everything about this story was thrilling
