Love to exercise while listening
This is the first book I actually bought (without a credit). I loved the first one so much. Not disappointed.
I'm having a very hard time finding another good zombie series or book. I loved WWZ. Warm bodies was a warm fuzzy zombie book. But since then... I guess I'll have to start listening to different thrillers.
He does a great job. Nice strong voice.
Yes, very action packed. Had a hard time stopping.
Say something about yourself!
I liked the first and this evolved naturally from there and I thought was more compelling than the first.
Pretty limited choice here, I am going say the main character.
I like the time when he was alone, having to make his way across country.
Very good zombie book. A bit procedural like the first but a very well conceived post-apocalyptic world.
Completely lame ending to an otherwise excellent series! It is almost like the author just phoned the ending in... what a total disappointment. The story just seems to abruptly stop, as if the author grew tired of the story and just decided to quit thinking. If you have read the first two books and enjoyed them, be prepared for a let down with the finale.
It really built on what the first book accomplished it make the story rich and showed real terror for the protagonist.
The Isolation really brought out the strength of the storytelling method
Well if couldn't stop listening to it was an extreme reaction then yes.
I would say the best in the series.
I enjoy reading fantasy, science fiction, and horror the most. To improve, I read about language, psychology, spirituality, and art. I read about computer science and business for professional reasons.
Like the first in the series, this book was outstanding. The main characters struggle for survival continues. Each setting, scenario, and event contains enough exciting and new information to keep the plot thrilling. I hope this author writes more, as the style with which the book was written is highly entertaining.
Love to listen to books all the time since I'm disabled & sit around all day. Mostly LUV zombie books ~ anything w blood & guts & guns!
I LOVED the way Jay reads these books! He has a nice deep voice and when he changes it to do a "diff" person I totally feel that I'm hearing someone else. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I am sure I will find myself listening to this again after I get thru the rest of the books in my library.
This falls short of the first story, which was decent. I think that the narrator was incorrectly cast in both books and sounds like a much older man than the character. He does a OK job but sometimes sounds like he trying too hard to make scenes exciting or tense.
A very good sequel, they kept all of the elements that I liked and kept the story moving.
An interesting look at the world post-zombie takeover. Mr. Bourne paints a very realistic picture of what might happen if our world was over run by the undead. While no longer narrated in the third person, this allows the story to expand and engage in a different manner than the first two books. Some have criticized this change from the first two books, but I found it refreshing and not at all distracting. I sure hope that there is a 4th book in the offing...
