Although the subplots were less elaborate than I had desired, I purchased the paperback sequel the very next day. I am intrigued by this Jack Morgan character and his many demons and rule bending associates.
Four separate cases Private are investigating, lots of drama and action. I enjoyed the book kept me gripped right up to the end, narrator did a great job.
No. It's a good book, but there are other books I want to read.
No, but it was decent enough.
Don't have one.
In a world . . .
The first in the Private collection is worth the effort. I will be looking for the next book. Pretty standard fare for the genre but that was what I wanted.
I have a rather eclectic love of books. I know what I like and I tend not to be a severe critic. If I enjoyed it, it gets 4 or 5 stars.
The story line is a bit confusing at first because of the introduction of so many characters, but it doesn't take long to catch on and straighten them all out in your head. The book has several different subplots going on at once - which keeps things moving. I am sensing there will be a sequel and I will definitely buy it.
I really the pairing of James Patterson and Maxine Paetro on The Women's Murder Club, so I thought I would try this one. I enjoyed it. I've bought the 2nd book, but haven't listened to it yet. Maxine Paetro is not the co-author on this one and there is a different narrator, so we shall see.
I am new to this series. I have read the first book in the series and listened to the second one and so far and am absolutely captivated. I am looking forward to reading/listening to more.
As in any audio book the sounds and inferences bring out the true feelings and sensations. But in reading a book you can use your own imagination in how everything looks and feels which can be anything you want.
I sure could have..but I try to spread it out because it adds to the intrigue
looking forward to reading and/or listening to more on this series.
Give me water to swim and surf in. That with a glass of white wine and the sun. That's heaven.
Yes, because it had everything you could want in a book.
The detail in this story made it believable.
I had to laugh at this story.
yes but i prefer to continue on
his voice is just perfect!
makes me want to finish right away
former nuclear scientist
It's got what you expect from a Patterson novel: action, fast pace, a tortured (former military) hero named Jack, titillating mysteries/side stories, and murder. It's really not special, really not terrible. Well, not terrible in a bad way.
