Love me some Patterson, not a reader normally. And his books were ones I would actually get through consistantly and be ready for another. I love me some Alex Cross. So I am thrilled to explore this new tortured soul.
The multiple story lines. And the passion for finding the truth.
No, but I thought he did a marvelous job. And never had me wondering which character was the perspective from.
No, I relished every minute of it to ease the rush hour traffic of my commute.
So, downloading the next in the series!
Yes, the audio is more intense and gets the adrenaline pumping more so than the print version.
I love the twist of the twins. How, even from the grave, their Dad still manages to pit them against one another.
This is the first time I have ever heard Peter Hermann's performances and I really enjoyed listening to him.
What mad me cry was Colleen. She was so depressive and sad.
It was a good listen, although the owner seems to have alot of issues and a good guy complex. He still got the job done!
astrologer and visionary
My best kept secret is that my gym workout is a Private pleasure. Three miles on the treadmill at a pulse racing trot, no problem, weight training, no sweat, 200 crunches are something to look forward to.
This is the novel that is so engaging that it has me wanting to go to the gym, and makes me WANT to keep going to the end of the chapter.
My sincere thanks to authors and narrators for an inch off my waistline and better posture.
'Private' is an interesting story, the first book in a series, concerning an exclusive detective agency. The characters introduced here are well fleshed out and believable. Several stories are interspersed throughout the book and all loose ends are neatly tied up by the end of the book. The narrator, Peter Hermann, does a good job. I recommend this book to all who like detective stories and those who enjoy reading James Patterson novels. There is graphic violence and some adult situations.
The twist and turns of the story.
All the different things happening at the same time.
Jack Morgan is an admirable man in this new series. It is one of my favorite series. I always look forward to James Patterson's books because he holds true to the core values that are important in life and makes the listener want to cheer on the good guys.
Jack Morgan seems to have no malice in his heart -even hating his brother is not something he would have chosen if his brother had given him any other way out. It makes me ponder the ever-present question of gentics - environmental - and the fact that people just come here a certain way from birth. I love having a hero (or 2) in a book.
His diction, inflections, and overall performance makes for pleasant listening
My heart ached for Jack Morgan at times - feeling the struggle of deep feelings - conflict of the ever present love, hate, and pain his brother and Father caused in him. I found the men that worked for Private had respect for & truly cared for each other.
In all of his books, it is very obvious that James Patterson is an honorable man. This is something that can only be taught through example by living it daily. It is a trait that is sadly missing in so much of the world we live in today. My hat's off to authors of exciting books that win by doing what it right.
I like Biblical Fiction, mysteries and action and adventure books
I love James Patterson and this book was no disappointment. I've read other "Private" novels so it was nice to go back and read the beginning.
I enjoy listening to great detective mysterie & also great thrillers. I enjoy books also by Vince Flynn, David Baldaci including assasins.
Jack's involvement with Noccia family.
I enjoyed his narration. I was able to picture the characters. I am sorry to see he is not narrating the series.
Jack being a brother!!
Very exciting series! You will not be disappointed. James Patterson does it again.
