This series is a standout, not only in the m/m genre but in romance as a whole. My only problem with the series is that the last few aren't available on Audible. No reader of romance can go wrong in buying every book in this series. Compelling relationship, intriguing mystery, excellent sex. Not sure what more I can ask for here.
I'm a 25 year old mum to my beautiful nearly 2 yr old daughter and i LOVE books , both reading and listening to them :D
i liked the tone and he did really well with the different characters voices
Forbidden F.B.I love and killer on the loose
really enjoyed the storyline and the sexy characters :D
If you are in to M/M romance book this is a series you absolutely can not miss! This is by far my favorite in the genre. The charaters comes to life in a way that you actually miss them when finished with the series. The storyline about two very different and at the same time similar FBI agents who becomes involved during their professional partnership are of course the main storyline throughout the entire series, but every book has its own well thought out plot with different cases they have to solve.
The writting is excellent and humorous. The narrator is also by far the best I have had the pleasure of listening to.
I have listened to all five available book and after that I had to know what happend in the latest two book, which have not been made available on audible as of yet but should not be missed even if you have to read the book the oldfasion way (or in this case as an e-book)
The love-hate dynamics between Ty and Zane.
None comes to mind.
Any scene of them alone in the hotel.
I find Ty and Zane the most fascinating.
The chemistry between the two main characters.
No comparison. This is a stand alone series with unique characters.
He did a great job! He really got into the characters and brought the scenes to life.
Both Ty and Zane. Their personalities and quick wit had me laughing.
Already started book 2!
I had read the series previously, I really love the two main characters. A very sweet love story with guns.
I found the plot a bit obvious and the writing felt odd at times.
Perhaps someone with more emotion in their voice or a cast for the characters, especially for the women and for any emotional scenes, they felt a bit flat.
I enjoyed the books more than the audio books and sometimes a bit of romance is nice. The characters and series grew on me, I'd say the series as a whole is better than just this book alone.
I rated this based off of other audio books and narration (this is why it's rated low) but I still very much enjoyed this.
I hate when this happens because then I don't know what to think when looking for a great book based on reviews.
I started this book because of all the fabulous reviews and because it appears on mostly everyone's "must-read" list. I was highly anticipating starting a series that would lead to an infatuation with the characters and the relationships. This book just didn't do it for me. I felt as if the relationship was forced because there wasn't enough chemistry between the main characters. I understood that they disliked each other, setting the stage for some pent-up frustration leading to some hot sex scenes, but something was amiss there and it fell flat for me. The backdrop of the story was nothing spectacular and the overarching plot did nothing to keep me engaged. Although there were a good number of action scenes, it got to where I did not care a lick about the characters to be at the edge of my seat. Also, I didn't like all the immature bickering the two main characters underwent. It was childish and irritating. I felt as though the characters were adolescents instead of adults. It got to the point where I just wanted the book to end so I was listening to the audiobook at 2x the speed, feeling relieved it was over so I didn't feel guilt for the purchase because at least I finished it.
Narrator: Sawyer Allerde
Speed 1.5x to 2x
Allerde did a great job with the narration. Nothing to difficult with the character voices with this novel. Allerde was consistent with tone, voice, and accents. Pace was good too and it allowed me to listen at a higher speed and still understand what was being said.
Absolutely! I love the characters.
That they were both big strong men that acted like men even though they loved each other.
Ty, I think he is hilarious
I didn't realize that the gay romance was the characters it turned out to be. I guess I didn't read much into the plot of the book before listening to it. So it was a spin on the story line for me that I wasn't expecting. Although the crime story line didn't capture me as much as I'd hope, the rest of the twists and turns of the story did.
I thought the performance was really very good. It really turned out to be a much better story then expected.
Yes. I'm not a romantic, but I found this full of quiet romance. Maybe I'm just a nut and you shouldn't pay attention to my review, but I just loved it.
Ty shielding Zane in the car. I haven't quite gotten to the end yet, but I had to download the next book in case this one ends while I'm still driving. :)
Sawyer is a little too fast, especially in the beginning. I thought the building he was in was on fire and he couldn't evacuate until he finished at least the first chapter. He also needs to work on the difference between character voices, transitioning between characters, and his female voices. Once I got into the story I didn't notice his speed, but the transitions were a bit frustrating.
I Wrote This Book for Marian!
This is my first gay romance book and I'm hooked!
