Holter, have you ever been to New Orleans or just the back hills of Kentucky?
The story was ok I am sure every high school student would love to find out they have super powers. Most teens seem to really like this book and after all it was written for them. The obsession with sex and the way they spoke about girls and women did bother me. Over all this may not be what I would like teens or tweens to read but they will probably enjoy it.
I love science fiction. I love the reluctant hero. Characters that try to do the right thing no matter what.
As a new reader to Ms. Kenyon, it was a little confusing at first. Caught on fast though, really enjoyed it. Bought the remaining 4 books available. Was not disappointed.
Too hard to put down, ready to zoom through this fast paced series! In love.
The sarcasm. The smooth stream of pop references. The characterization. The sarcasm.
Honestly after reading so many urban fantasy (out of pure desperation, hunger and starvation...) NOTHING can replace good witty writing.
* i totally agree with the other reviewer saying that you should be mindful of your environment while listening because this makes you laugh at loud.
I was warned and yet...
Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today.
Although this is a teen read. It was a great book. One thing is its a book that has a lot of powerful people on a small area. But it still was mad cool. A good quick read.
I could listen to this narrator read a dictionary. Give him the extraordinary writing of Ms. Kenyon & you cannot lose. My tween & I listened to the series together & I lived it as much as he did. amazing. Best YA series EVER.
