These books were so well written and narrated that I'm listening to them for the second time. I would highly recommend these books for kids of 11 and up!
Nick's story is a very cool one, albeit very much more YA than the rest of the dark Hunter series but in a way, a fun reprieve from all the deep, dark stuff of the other books. It's also one of the only storylines that has not yet been resolved, unlike most of the books in the DH series-which tend to wrap up nicely by the end of every book.
I am in my mid 50s love reading and continue my love for reading with audio books while driving helps me relax quietly after all day talking
Great spin off! You will of needed to read the dark hunter serious to understand many things in the story. But, great book and the narrator is one of my favorites. I only wish the book was longer. 8 hrs just doesn't seem like enough.
I would listen to Infinity again because this is a great beginning for Nick. I've read/listen to about 3/4 of the Dark Hunter series and the Chronicles of Nick is a fresh view of all the previous characters. It is nice to get a better understanding of Nick's relationship with his mother and why he is so furious with Ash in the present day.
Any scene Nick has Bubba and Mark is memorable because them are just so hilarious.
Holter Graham is one of my top 5 favorite narrators. He does characterization better than almost any other narrator and this man does great women voices. Even when I only read Dark Hunter books, I hear his voice in my head.
If it were not for a job and the need of sleep I could have listened to it in one sitting.
Any book written by Sherrilyn Kenton and narrated by Holter Graham that pops up goes immediately into my cart. I haven't been disappointed yet.
I found myself enjoying this story as it developed. It was probably written for young adults but this older adult found it interesting enough to consider reading more of the series. It has a good pace of action, funny and interesting group of characters and creative situations and resolutions.
This is a good book and a good start to a series I am looking forward to working my way through! It made me laugh out loud on several occasions and I liked the message of good over evil and that bullying can actually make you stronger and not just a victim. I would not say this is a novel that is appropriate for younger kids - not because of bad language - but because of references to females and sexual innuendos that might cause endless questions and/or some embarrassment if listening to this together!!! Overall this is very entertaining and I am truly glad I bought this book!
So like I said, still witty but more of this story is character development. Which is good, it was still entertaining enough to keep me interested but this one was not as great as the first, still, I'm willing to get the third book. The sinicism still calls to me.
Sarcasm, twang, attitude
For sure Nick, although I do think Simi is funny too!
This guy does a wonderful job with all the characters and makes it funny.
YES! Heck yeah, I'm already on the second book, almost done with it.
I highly recommend, especially for adults. I feel like this is borderline more for adults than young adults. The sarcasm is awesome!
At the top.
The zombie army and reactions of the characters.
He definitely brought the characters to life.
It made me laugh.
I highly recommend this book.
I am a registered nurse and a father of four great kids. I live in a rural part of Oregon and love it. I enjoy books, but Sci-Fi Fantasy has allows been the ones I reach for more than others.
Enjoyable, fast, and wild
The fact the book was enjoyable not only to teens but adults. My 14 yr old boy keep asking if we could listen to this book on a long road trip. This was the first indication this book was a winner.
Bubba and his sidekick especially when the sidekick decked out in his swamp hunting suit. Just so freakin' funny.
Nick meeting Simi for the first time is hilarious. Anything to do with Simi in this series is hilarious.
