Sarcasm, twang, attitude
For sure Nick, although I do think Simi is funny too!
This guy does a wonderful job with all the characters and makes it funny.
YES! Heck yeah, I'm already on the second book, almost done with it.
I highly recommend, especially for adults. I feel like this is borderline more for adults than young adults. The sarcasm is awesome!
At the top.
The zombie army and reactions of the characters.
He definitely brought the characters to life.
It made me laugh.
I highly recommend this book.
Good enough for me to buy another book in this series! Kept me entertained on my long drive!
Coffee Table Reviews
My first audiobook that I listened to with Holter Graham was amazing. I had hesitated if I wanted this series on audio or paper copies. I love Kenyon's Dark Hunter world. I have most of the Dark Hunter series in paperback. While it was a hard decision on whether to do audio or book, I was not disappointed. Holter Graham is a superb reader. He is entertaining and is able to carry the story out as if it were a play, not a book. I will admit, he was the reason I opted for the audiobook.
The story was also very compelling. I loved Nick's first book. Even before writing this review, I got the second audiobook in my cart and ready to go. I was expecting the story line to be very similar to the Dark Hunter series, but other than having a few of the same repeat characters through the series, this stood well on it's own. I loved the zombie aspect. I hadn't really expected that. Going into this book, I didn't do a whole lot of reading up on what it was about, exactly. I was thrown for a loop (in a good way) and when the book finally came to an end, I was eager to continue the series.
Mr. Graham has portrayed Ms. Kenyon's book very well. They are both separately great and by joining forces, they make this book one that must be listened to.
I loved the story and how it centers around Nick and the new characters introduced to a series I already Love is great.
Nick! I loved him in the Dark Hunter Series and this just makes his character better.
I liked how he brought you into the story and made you feel like you were there with the characters.
I loved the whole book but Nick's relationship with his mother spoke loudest to me.
Kenyon's best work ever! I can't wait to see what happens next :)
all the funny sarcasm.
had me rolling in laughter from all the rude sarcasm and comments
The characters have depth and I found it easy to believe in and like them, immediately from the beginning to the end. The story was a pleasant blend of powerful emotion, making me feel for the main character and wish for him to succeed, but at the same time the entire story is fairly humorous and a little goofy. The over-all story is pretty complex without leaving the reader lost. A great opening story for everyone who wants a continuing story about Vampires, Were-creatures, Ghouls, and Demons.
I enjoyed this book very much. It moved at a good pace with lots of laughs and action. Had to rewind several times to hear again because I was laughing so hard I missed parts of It.
I enjoy Holter Graham's take on the Dark Hunter series, i.e. My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding", and this installment didn't disappoint. Nick's story is a great one and is cohesive if you are familiar with the adult Nick in the Dark Hunter series. I found this story funny and good natured with all the snarkiness Ms. Kenyon's books are known for.
The book is a great young adult novel. I have read Sherrilyn Kenyons adult Dark Hunter Series, and this is a spin off of it for young adults. It is a great start to a YA series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and the narrator is pretty good too.
