I enjoy David Rosenfelt novels. I tend to use them as a respite between more complex novels. I didn't find this that much different from the Andy Carpenter series, except maybe less humor. The narrator did an overall good job but a number of characters sounded alike.
Loved Rosenfelts other books..but disappointed in this one. It lacked the humor, the likeable characterization..the dogs. Tara.Hope he writes more with Andy.
wrirte more in the dog series.
Love the Andy Carpenter series with its wit and intelligence and likeable characters. Can't quite believe this is the same author. The story lacks heart and depth and the writing is unadorned. Another serial killer plotline with a revolting bad guy doing random, revolting killing. What's to enjoy?
As others have said, this book is not as good as the Andy Carpenter series, but it is still a good "listen." David Rosenfelt writes an easy-listen. The stories are not deep, full of controversial topics. But they do entertain. This book is no exception. The story takes a good twist shortly into it that keeps you on the edge.
